Ok, so I thought It was about time I gave you all an update on Miss Katie.

I also want to say thankyou for all your kindness and support through this tough time.

It has been two weeks now since Katie foaled and lost her filly through an awful mal-presentation, Katie has healed SO well. She is 100% back to her old self and all her tearing has almost healed and everything is squeaky clean

I think I have decided to put her back in foal, she has been trying to convince my gelding that he still has what it takes

and my vet has given her the all clear!

SO she has been back out with the "herd" (there is only three of them!) for the last week and is back in Boss Mare position, I am so lucky that I've still got her, this little mare just has so much heart and I think I've got a good'un in her!

Today I let her out the the big pasture for a play, so without further ado, here is my girl..

I turned her loose and she took off...

Congratulations on her recovery. It is amazing how our little horses can bounce back from such a horrible experience. We had a little mare last year - Ladybug - that had a terrible dystocia. We got a clean bill of health from the vet and tried again. This year she had a textbook delivery - and produced a beautiful tiny black and white filly who we call Misty Moon Copys Special Delivery.

I will be watching to see what your girl has next year - best of luck.
