Just a thought after reading Marty's tribute to Michael...

The world is indeed a better place because of Michael Garrison, and I hope that Marty, Jerry and Dan find comfort and peace in knowing that such a kind and loving spirit never dies. A bit of Michael will live forever in each of our hearts.

Each one of us can keep Michael's spirit alive when we remember how a simple, kind act can make another person's day. We can honor his gentle, nurturing soul by cherishing and protecting all animals, no matter how small. We can share Michael's generosity, giving to others before satisfying our own wishes. We can celebrate his joy for life by remembering to sing and dance and live life to its absolute fullest. And we can love one another as Michael loved his family and friends...

Marty, few of us can ever hope to touch as many lives as your sweet son did in his short life..

Michael's spirit is very much alive.

A random act of kindness.

Play it forward.

Today is Thursday. One week ago tomorrow.

We can all remember Michael by doing a ramdon act of kindness for either a person or an animal. Those that have room in their home can maybe even adopt a shelter animal.

A random act but we sometimes forget to go out of our way to do it. Tomorrow go out of your way to do a kindness. Remember Michael and Josh and all the other young people that have died too young.

Susanne, what a lovely way to remember some one. Even better when we let it be a habit of our daily lives.

"Marty, few of us can ever hope to touch as many lives as your sweet son did in his short life.."

This world would be a better place if we tried.

Susanne, how wonderfully well-said....and SO right 'on target'! Indeed, to 'play it forward', as Wee Mite said, is one of the most powerful ways to remember and honor a life and a spirit such as that of Micheal, a young man we would no doubt ALL have been honored to know in person, but whom we feel we knew in spirit.

Well put. I wanted Marty to know above all else, that what made Michael so wonderful will always be with her, and all his loved ones as well as those of us who knew him through her.

Never forget a sense of humor, that was apparent in the small portion of his personality I knew of, and in his tributes on his myspace page, I can see that he added that sense of humor in amongst his daily life to cheer other people up, as well as to make them more comfortable and likely he enjoyed the smiles he got in response. He himself had a wonderful smile, looks like he used it often and I know so many are remembering it, missing it.

Thanks, susanne....

I too have been touch by Michael, through seeing how much people have come together in a time of need.

I will always remember Michael through my new born colt I had born today.

His name is (KAVELBEL MICHAEL ARCHANGEL NUMBER10)

People have already asked me, how come you chose that name, my daughter for one, and I told her with tears in my eyes and lump in my throat, how a child has touched my heart and soul.
