Kind of getting the feeling

Frankly, I don't think a lot of people knew you no longer have minis until you just posted it! (actually, *I* didn't, so maybe others didn't as well........does that count?

)

I did'nt know either. I am one who has read your posts in the past and have enjoyed them. I echo what everyone else said about if you don't have minis......does'nt mean you have nothing to share or in common. You certainly DO. Your posts can help guide the newbies....or give them ideas.

Here's a scenario that has happened to me quite a bit. I spend my share of time on the phone with family and friends. Just the other day I got to thinking that when someone calls they may catch me on the forum....but while talking I still browse, may read sentences here and there but am not really "in tune" to the post. Then I jump here and there. I thought, gee...if the poster has seen me on their thread...and either I don't post or come back to it at a later date and time, hope they don't get offended. Other times posts have gotten away from me and I just don't see them until it's too late and they'll pop up out of nowhere and I'll wonder why I had not seen them.

I read the forums on this site. I may post a lot of the BP and then there will be a lull where all I do is read. I do my share of reading on the Main forum too...don't post as often there as I used to because at the time I may not have something to contribute to it.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that there are a lot of reasons as to why people may or may not respond to a thread. But don't make that your reason for leaving. You are just as important as the group of us all together. Our combined knowledge and experiences is what makes this forum successful.

Awww guys... how in the world can a person walk away from people like ya'll ? I do suppose I am really being over-sensitive.... I'm sorry ya'll... just really been having a really rough couple of weeks.

I suppose with the holidays coming up and all of my family 300 miles away I am really dreading the fast approaching "family holidays" without my family... feeling a bit on the outside of my family circle. Add to that my horrible fight I got into with my very best friend in the world two weeks ago where things have not, and may not ever be the same in that friendship again... along with having no horses to go "talk" to and sit with (like I used to have) ... it just makes for a rather bleak outlook on things.

You all are truely some of the most diverse, remarkable, caring people I have ever been in the company of... I should have known better than to think only one common thread held me here. I have many threads here... (no pun intended lol..) I am a woman...there's lots of women on here. I am a mother. Lots of mothers here. I am a sister, a friend, a wife, a mini lover, a dachshund lover, I love lots of tv, love cute funny stories, computer talk, graphics and website talk,... and on the lesser side (not so much lesser in importance, but lesser in topic posts) ... I have biploar disorder... some of you probably do also. I am going blind because of two eye diseases... some of you are loosing your sight as well.

I suppose I allowed myself to forget that my horses didn't define me... when I bought or sold a horse it didn't add or reduce my value as a person... I was still me. Most of my posts weren't even about my horses. It does impact me pretty hard that I have no horses around me right now... the neighbor moved his horses somewhere else during hunting season so they're not here for me to stand and watch... mine are all gone to their new homes, and I'm not able to drive over to anyone's house to borrow a few minutes with their horses. There truely is something magical that happens when you press your face against a horse's neck and hug him... when you smell him and just share a minute together. I do miss that.....

I'm sorry ya'll for being so down... I don't have a whole lot to do lately to occupy my time and I'm still struggling to adjust to this new life and all the things in it... as well as all the things that are no longer in it.

I hope ya'll accept my apology... I'll hopefully be back to normal soon...well.. I can't really say that... I've never been what one would consider "normal"
default_rolleyes.gif
... but hopefully I'll be back to my old self again soon. Thank you all so much for your wonderful sentiments... they are very much appreciated.

Yes Kim,,,

I feel like sometimes people are not responding to a post or comments I have made. But it is alright. If someone doesn't have anything to add,,, what can you do. I am glad you are going to stay!!! And I am sure it is difficult around the holidays with no horses. But SOMEDAY I bet horses will be in your family again!!!!

I sure do hope that someday comes very soon... I am meant to have a few horses, I just know I am.... life just doesn't feel complete without them. I may not need 20 horses, but I'd sure like to have at least one or three.

I too think you're just being overly sensitive. I've never had a good response to any of my posts, and I can't tell you how many times I've "killed" a post by commenting. (ie no or few posts after mine) Its not a good feeling, but I do still enjoy reading the forum. I just don't, or very rarely, post anymore.

That is so funny! I have felt that way sometimes too. But probably some hotter topic came up...That's just life.

Kim hang around. Fall and winter are such busy times, sometimes people don't get as much time to read everything....

Now spring when you are on mare stare....I will read the cereal box three times in a row!!!

I'm glad you're going to hang around!

I understand how you feel, I feel like that plenty of times! But even when no one responds to what I say, I'm just happy that I have a place to come and say things! A place to share!

Gee, and here I was kind of taking pride in "killing" so many threads!

(too many to count) Like a doggie that does a "job", kicks up some grass and trots off with the pride of a job well done LOL! That's me the thread killer! You won't take that away from me will ya Carol?
default_new_rofl.gif

It used to bother me too, but it happens to me so often that I started thinking of it as my super power!

Hey, we thread killers are SPECIAL!

... man, took the words out of my mouth.

I don't respond to alot of threads, most of the time the previous posters have already taken the words out of my mouth.

Glad you are here to stay. Just because you don't have minis now, doesn't mean you don't have advice to give. Please be willing to share your experience with us.

Ha Ha Robin. We ought to start a "THREAD KILLERS CLUB" I know that I have been the last to post on so many. Long long ago it would have bothered me too until :DOH!
default_wacko.png
I figured out that someone had to be the last poster!
default_biggrin.png

OK......if someone doesn't want to be the last poster........I have an idea! PM me and tell me to please post on the thread that you think you are going to be the last poster on and you can crown me Queen of the Thread Killers.
