That is Duckie. Well I guess Dorothy is too!

Enjoy reading I love sharing what Dorothy sends me at times. The won't be many more of these updates but really wanted to share this one.

Duckie was a good girl again today, and I'll drive her again when I have company. But for this morning we hitched, took a meander around the yard and house. Had one spook, but I don't know what it was about. Then we went to the field and did some trot work around cones, over cones, over poles, anything that made things different. I whacked cones and buckets with the whip. And whacked the little "flag boy" that stands in the middle of the field. She accepted it all without incident. Perhaps she thought she was next

Sooo, we went out on the road. I tied up the dog, opened the gate and led her through. Her ears were going like mad, but I got in the cart and drove her out on the road. She wasn't too sure about that and really doesn't like ditches. She is sure that bad things live in there. We turned into my neighbors field. There is a funny little gravel spot that even our seasoned horses spook at because of the noise. No problem. She was concerned about passing the blocks of wood that were lying all around the old pickup, waiting to be split and stacked. I was more concerned about the barb wire fence that was on her other side so stopped her and let her get a good look before asking her to pass. She did and we walked out into the hay field on a path mowed by the neighbor. It passed a pile of telephone poles and ended at the ditch. We turned around and did the whole thing backwards. She did dive into the tall grass once (it was over her head) Perfect for munching. We passed the blocks on our other side and met a car on the road. I drove her over the creek on the bridge and then turned her around at our north gate and drove home. When we got back to the driveway, I didn't get out of the cart to open the gate, which gave her a reason to back and "swing". Then we turned the big dog loose with me still in the cart. It was a very good drive. And for good measure, I dropped the ramp on the trailer and walked in. She never even questioned it. Good girl, Duckie!!

I enjoy reading updates on your little one. My baby (Maggie) is in training - she started not long after yours and it is neat to hear about how others are coming along.

And THAT is why Dorothy is a good trainer.

I think I'm jealous of her facilities though!

Good girl, Duckie.

Yep! Dorothys a great trainer.

I do wonder thought about her beating that poor little flag man with the whip when he wasn't doing a thing.

And now people like me don't even have to get out of the cart to open the gate, how awesome is that?

Nancy, you should be proud of your sister. She has done such wonderful things with Duckie.
