I loved everyones barns and thank you for sharing them! I think there all so neat and I love to look at them! its fun to see what our minis get to live in! HAHA

So this is the famous barn that monopolized your thoughts at Convention? ...This is an older pic of our barn, we have now since added on
and this is the inside with the stall conversions. We have 7 12x12's and 6 12x6's.

Ok. Here goes -- It's all the same building from different angles.
(The yellow tags on the horses in the run-in are not number tags. They are fly repellent tags.)
And I must say - Wow - I love this "barn peeking" thing. I know it's been done before on the forum, but I look everytime. I imagine going in, feeding, turnout, etc. And all the happy little horses....such good vibes from all the pix.

I have enjoyed viewing everyones barns and just can't wait to get my new barn in. The following are two photos of the barn to date. You need to use a little imagination, well maybe a lot. I will post more later.
The first is of the barn pad which was poured two days ago. It will be 40' wide and 48' long with four 12' x 12' stalls on either side of a 16' wide raised center isle. The first stall on the right as you enter will be for grooming/food/ tack and can double as a stall incase I ever need it. Each stall will have a door to the center isle and a door to the outside with a fenced 12' x 20' outside area. The back left stall will have a 20' x 32' fenced outside area. Just my way of not letting some space in the back corner go to waste. Might be a good stall for babies to romp and play when they aren't outside playing.
This photo is of the center isle from the back. The floor didn't come out the way I planned but will do and over the years become a conversation piece.
Getting this far has been stressful situation. Everything seems to take longer than estimated and I have been fighting winter rains. Fortunately, we are way behind in rainfall this year. Once the real rains come there would have been no way to get the fully loaded cement trucks back to the barn. Mother Nature has been good to me. We had rain last night and of the two routes the cement trucks took one couldn't be used today.
The engineering plans took longer and then I had to go back and have them do a plot plan for the entire property. My county has put lots of new permit rules in. Working with the county also dragged on because about six departments needed to review the plans. Minor changes/additions needed to be made which caused the plans to have to go back through the entire cycle again. Had I lived in the next county over I would not have needed the engineering drawings, plot plan and permit. That alone could have saved me over $3,000 and 12 weeks of time. Then my cement contractor dissapeared on me for a while but to his credit he did have a crew out there finishing setting the forms all day in the rain.
Now I have called the barn company and am told they are running behind so it will be January before they can get out. That probably means around January 32nd if I am lucky.
The barn is being built by Royal Stall which is simular to MD or Barnmaster. Royal Stall has been around quite a while and is a family run operation. I believe that MD and Barnmaster are spinoffs from Royal Stall. When you read the specs Royal Stall seems to be better construction. Time will tell.
