Life has been quite a "Whirlwind" these past few months...

Hi there, :saludando:

I wanted to post these way long before now. Just with so much going on, one thing after another it seems,

: , I've not had much opportunity to just "take a moment"...for such a long time.

Well, after the past several days, especially, I just decided to put all things aside, and just TAKE THE TIME...just do something that made me SMILE!

After all, Life's just WAY too short, to not STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES as ya can, right?

: Anyhooo....

So that's what I did the for the last hour or two tonight.

: I finally took the time...some long over due "me" time.

: And, finally uploaded these pics off my camera of our CHRISTMAS PRESENT from our son Dusty, while he was home with us from the Marines, over the recent Holiday.

Sorry...it took me so long.

: Ya'll have no idea, how much I wanted to share these WAYYY before now, LOL.

So here goes....

It was our Christmas present, but the reservations for "LIFT OFF" was on New Year's Eve Morning...at the crack of dawn...which actually began at 3:30am for us, so that we can make it to their location on time, LOL. :new_shocked:

Those big ol TRUCKS N Trailers began to shrink into DINKY TOYS...REAL QUICK! :bgrin

Then almost as quickly as we saw the sun rise (for the last time in 2005), the skies turned a bit cloudy, (story of my life

: ), and the winds began to pick up so our pilot began to scout for a clearing. We took pics as we drifted along....well..."tried" to, LOL.

Beautiful pictures I'm glad you're brave enough to do that. I don't like going up to the hayloft of our barn. Also, I wanted to let you know I finally have a driving horse. Rich and Gail Ray trained him for me.

Ok...our landing was "ok"...

: :new_shocked: Actually, it was pretty wild, and absolutely HILARIOUS!!!!

Being that we were the "head" of the pack, we also got to set and watch the show of "landings" that followed up behind us... :new_shocked: :new_shocked:

:

The fella on the far right, gave it one last effort and tried to make it over and into our field. He didn't quite make it, LOL. He landed in their back yard...yeppers...there was a BIG DOG waiting in thar too! :new_shocked: Thankfully nobody was hurt, WHEW! But, it was awfully tense there for a bit as we heard their passengers screaming till the homeowner came to their rescue.

: We tried to run to them, but thankfully their pilot came over our pilot's hand radio giving the "all clear's - all's well" for us.

Anyways, so then we went back to our pick up crew and rested while we waited for the driver to figure out how to get the truck and trailer out to us, LOL.

: I could tell right off that fella weren't no Flerida Mud Boggin' dude, ROFL!

Anyways...I was having a bit of a "Bad Hair Day" myself, LOL...so please pardon the "Blue Fancy Doo Diversion"...

Wow what an amazing present! How creative your son is. Wonderful pix I love them. We get all kinds of alternative air flight vehicles over our house at times. We have been out driving the horse and see several little ultralight "planes or Gliders" circling over watching us as we are looking up at them.

Where were you all, anyway? That looked a bit like the Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte/New Port area to me but then I'm sure there are pretty places like that everywhere in FL. Somedays I just long to be back there again...
