We haven't been to Nationals since they were in MO, so it's been a lot of years, but we are thrilled to announce our very first NATIONAL CHAMPION Over solid color stallion - LDS THE BUCKEROO KID! There were 17 in the class, and some gorgeous horses. When the announcer said "and your 2008 NATIONAL CHAMPION IS LTD . . . ) My heart sank, I thought Darn didn't make it -- then he went on THE BUCKEROO KID!!! I about passed out! We got out photo in the middle of the ring, sash and all! When the presenter went to go back to the island, I asked her tell the announcer it's LDS - not LTD!! So on our victory exit it was NATIONAL CHAMPION LDS THE BUCKEROO KID!!! I'll post photos when I get them from Shelley who was so kind to take them during the class.
Our Buck Zeus son looked fantastic in his stallion class with Adam Longman. Adam did an awesome job showing Thumper, and I really thought he had a chance, but oh well, maybe next time. Thanks Adam, he looked amazing!!
And though I wasn't looking -- I really really wasn't -- I fell in love with TenL's Legacys Top Model. Weanling mare that took 5th out of a huge filly class. She is stunning, and we are very honored to have her in our barn. Thank you Laura at TenL, we are thrilled!!
