Got a call this afternoon about a close friend of my moms, She passed away this morning. She was in her 70's She was living in a nursing home only because she was paralized from the waist down

She was like a 2nd mother to my mom. My mom told me alot about her over the years and i had the pleasure of meeting her in the past few months. As I am training to be a CNA and working at the nursing home. I was able to spend time with her and get to know her. I loved listening to her stories about my moms childhood. She had so much spirit to her even though she didn't seem to have the best situation. It's never easy losing a loved one...I just saw her last week and she seemed fine. We were laughing and talking up a storm.

It's amazing how something can change in just a blink of an eye

I hope all of you give your loved ones a hug tonight and remember to tell them you love them. Thank you for letting me share.

oh dear, I am so sorry to hear this, but I am glad you got to spend time with this person and learn some things you may have never found out about. It is interesting to learn stories from the past, isn't it?

Hugs and prayers to you.

I am so sorry. It is important to hug the ones you love. When they are gone all you can think about is hugging them. I lost my mom and wish I could hug her right now(

Sending my sympathies to you and your mother.

...It's very hard to loose someone you were so close too. I am sure a lot of us here have lost similar, I have lost both my parents and many close friends. It's not easy and you feel sad for quite sometime, but know that she is no longer paralized and feels no pain. Your have all those memories from her to share and adore
