We had an outstanding show today and the weather was nearly perfect! Our Summer Fun show was just that and from the comments at the end of the show most everyone was quite happy and had a good time. We had many say how much fun they had and how friendly everyone was. Show ran very smooth thanks to a good group of volunteers as usual (some are not mini people yet) and great exhibitors!

Congrats and thanks to all!

Mark

We should have some pics to post tomorrow!

please send me info about the next show...Lizzie and I want to come up for the show.

The Maine show was so much fun. Hubby [Paul] actually got to go this time [he hasn't been to a show in at least a year]. The people are awesome [THANK YOU TRACY for the pictures!] The weather was perfect and the fairgrounds are great. Courtney had to run against herself in the jumping and her beloved little Kisses won the class. If I can figure out how to post the pictures here that Tracy sent on my e-mail I will. Jack won the supreme overall halter over his mother Becky. He wasn't too badly behaved for a yearling little stud muffin. I can only say the Maine shows are so much fun and the people are so nice. Boinky [Hillary] and Enchantress [Jen] delivered my new cart to me and thank yoou Jen for showing Becky for me in the supreme class [Jen took res supreme with her.] Next show NATIONALS! Linda

The weather was great. Everyone was very nice.

: I let my nervousness get the best of me but the more I do this the more I learn. I am not the greatest groomer. But every show I go to I learn more and more. I haven't been out much this year so it was nice to be out on such a nice day.

Had a good time finally getting to talk to people. Instead of the usual 7-8 I brought to shows last year I've only been bringing 1-3 so I have a lot more time to just hang out. And show other people's horses. :bgrin

Linda one of these days I'm going to show Becky in a Supreme class and then just bring her on over to my trailer. Think you'd notice? hehe.

Here's a pic of my "weanling" filly Tracy (Bit-O-Blue) took. She did so great! This was like the 3-4 time she'd had a halter on and she even lead..didn't trot really great, but I DID get a trot out of her a couple times. She stood really great too considering the amount of handling she's had and this was the first time she was away from momma. Poor thing was really worn out though if you can't tell from the look on her face, but I'm SO proud of her! I was hoping to try to sell her at the show, but I forgot to make flyers because I was feeling lazy. Oh well, one of these days!

It was a good day for sure. Sorry I did not get to talk with more of the new exhibitors. I did manage to survive the day with 13 horses to show (with some help). After getting everyone home and put away I was still able to get back to the show grounds to clean up trash that evening.

Jen don't even think about "Becky" you live to far north! Now, Windham is only a little ways from NH and she would certainly adjust to living here! LOL

Karla, I'm thinking it would be easier to get you and Kennedy to Maine than us moving the show to NY!! LOL

Lol becky should come live with me. she'd make a nice cross with Jet (the buckskin I had at the show). I can't think of her other mares name the chestnut pinto but i love her too! lol I love the boys as well........

Thanks for the compliments on Becky everyone, but I don't think Fred would be too happy if his #1 girl went missing. It was a great show. I did try to put pictures up [the ones Tracy sent me] but my computer is acting up again. The pictures from the show are up on the photographers website though and they did come out nice. Linda, can't get the link to work. I guess Karen, Lizzie and I will start going to the Maine shows. Not sure if there are any left for this year but next year we will be there.

this should be the link to the photos.

She did a great job. Think she has 470 photos!

The club still has 2 shows left. One is a new one in cooperation with Springfield Fair on Sept 2 ( Monday Labor day) in Springfield , ME This show is not pointed towards our year end awards.

The other regular show is Sept 29 at Cumberland Fair grounds in the outdoor ring during the fair.

Judge for this show will be Steve Lampson.
