What are all of your experiences with the mother nature foaling kit predictions, our mare tested Hard/very hard and it said will most likely foal within the day! Has anyone found these to be correct?

I have not used the Mother Nature foaling kit, but just regular pool strips, and they have been extremely accurate!

I have only used them once before but found it very accurate once it went to 95%. My mare tested at 85% for 3 days then when tested on the third day at 9pm she tested 95% and we had our Eli a few hours later

I just got in from testing my last mare due - although looking very "ready" the last few days she's been testing at 10%. This morning at 6am she had thick thick sticky yellow milk that tested at 85% and just now at 5pm she has white milk that tested immediately at 95% so we'll see

eta: I have also been using the pool strips (what can I say, I'm a closet lab rat

) and they have correlated well with the Mother Nature's strips on both mares so far.

Good luck with your baby!

Well I am not so convinced that the Mother Natures test strips are all that great. We have had 3 mares that tested 85% and foaled within a couple of hours. I have a mare right now - that tested 95% Saturday afternoon and again Sunday afternoon - it is now Monday and still no foal. So these strips have not really helped me out at all - yet I know lots of breeders swear by them.

When my mare started testing 85% I would test her in the am and pm and some days in between...the morning she tested 95% -she foaled that next morning.

They are a decent heads - up I think, but not surefire. My first mare foaled this year testing at just above 40%!! and the second was testing at 95% and still went 24 hours +. But they do give us some indication that a change is going on and that tells you to keep a close eye. I was there for both deliveries as I know my mares real well and could tell it would be soon for both of them.
