Mare's hoof shaped weird??

I don't give farriers a second chance. My horses are too valuable to be left to incompetents. Sorry, but that's how I roll. Fired 3 when I first got to Arkansas, then found a perfect guy who worked with me the remaining 8 years I was there. I found an awesome guy right away back here in Wisconsin. Don't care if he's a nice guy. If they don't trim correctly, they are outa here.

I agree with Jean completely.

When my good farrier retired years back his recommended replacement made such a mess on his first trimming session here ... I never called him to come back. I had to fix every single hoof he trimmed. There was no way I was paying him more money to make a mess like that again.
