I think it is very true that we all make mistakes and want forgiveness [that is human nature] but what is really special about some peope is their ability to forgive and that is what makes the world a better place. There are times we need to work hard at understanding the other person and not be judgemental. I believe we are here to learn and there is something to learn from each and every person, if we take the time to know them.

I don't know what prompted Bonnie to write this post either but I think she is trying to understand by asking others. Understanding that one person may believe one thing while another person may believe somthing differently often stirs up a lot of feelings for both and can even cause wars. JMHO Mary

I was not having a bad day and no one said anything mean to me personally.

It was a post on here actually that triggered my post.

But I know I know we see it every day and I have also said mean things myself. Except now it really really bothers me when I feel like I have gossiped etc.

I have a saying that all the saints are already in heaven! The rest of us down here are just human and therefore are not perfect.

Yet..........

I also think the suffering I am seeing all around me triggered the post.

It just seems to me that the people in my family, neighborhood and town(remember I work in a school) are

just having a really tough time.

Losing jobs and no other jobs available which means no money for house, heat, cars etc it just trickles down until the family structure starts to crumble.

I have seen it in my own granchildren, I have twin great grand children 10 months that it looks like my son and wife are going to have to raise, while working full time themselves. I might have to get involved and I will be honest and say I don't want to be raising children at 65!

My husbands health is fragile and just trying to get him the healthcare he needs is unbelievably hard and this is WITH insurance. I can't imagine if we didn't have it he would be dead!

So I guess this has brought home to me that we have to take care of ourselves and each other if we can.

It is more important now than ever before.

So thats where my mind was when I postedmy post.

I am going to try to be kinder and gentler to everyone because i don't know what they are having to deal with every day.

Here is a hug for ya Bonnie. One thing about it we sure don't have to feel alone with having problems and challenges in life. We can only do the best we can do and aim for better. I do understand your concern with health issues ,not only for our hubbies but ourselves. Fom what you said about your age, I would guess you will soon be on Medicare and even though we still pay for that plus a supplement, it is steady. Yes, we do have to count our blessings as well, and keep some pretty positive attitudes. Right now I would feel very lucky to be able to work at a paying job. I know I do have to work on keeping a positive attitude about life for I know I would still rather have it than be in the ground! Just think of how lucky you are to be working with children who really need you. Sending prayers for your hubby. Mary

You cant forgive someone who thinks they did nothing wrong.
Thank you for posting that kaykay.....it made me realize part of my problems here and why it is soo difficult to deal with it....I am going to pass that quote on to my Mom....she's having a much harder time with it all than I am, and really doesn't know what to do with all of 'it'......but you summed it up perfectly....

Yep, its sad some people get enjoyment out of mean posts. I'm a very blunt person. Ask me how you look or something and I'll tell you the truth. It can come across as mean, even though I don't mean to be. So I've learned to just keep my mouth shut in some situations. But this forum should be a place to critique without having to be mean.
