who it may belong to.

314.415.0050 We're taking our scanner to see if it's chipped and we're going to take pictures.

Dawn (the lady who has him) has called EVERYONE, all the vets, sheriff, animal control. Nothing! She's put signs up and no response. It's looking more like a dump to me.

Folks,

This horse belongs to someone! He's in very good weight, feet in fair to good condition. No microchip. The people who found him have contacted the sheriff and others but so far nobody has reported one missing. It's doesn't belong to any close neighbors. He's got manners and is very, very pretty. He's a red roan appy of some type (not really up on my appys). There is one very distinguishing feature about him that his owner would certainly mention when looking for him.

Please ask around. We have pictures.

So far nothing! Isn't that just weird? I'm wondering if his owners are on vacation this holiday weekend and don't even know he's missing. He's obviously been handled and is very well-mannered.

The home he showed up at is a great place and they are going to take care of him until his owners show up and if they don't they already know they will geld him and keep him. They have about 20+ appy big horses and have a BEAUTIFUL facility!

It's just awesome. Isn't it funny that an appy mini would show up at an big appy breeders place?

Hmm. . . sounds like a dump??

I bet the people who own him are on vacation.... doesn't sound like a dump horse to me....... Sounds like he's well too good taken care of to have been left to find a new home. I bet his owners are away!

The owner has come forward and has decided to give the stallion to the farm that found him. They've already fallen in love with him and have set his date for gelding.

It's a good resolution all around for this little guy!!

He either broke through the fence or the fence was already broken and he got out. They were on vacation and not aware that he was gone until they came home. They looked for him and made some calls and was put in touch with the woman that found him. The original owners said they were already trying to find him another home and a breeder (don't know who) had agreed to take him to use as a teaser stallion but transportation hadn't been arranged yet. Blah, blah, blah. Basically, they got him as a weanling colt without papers and were supposed to have gelded him and didn't. So he was sort of a handful for them. So they asked if Dawn (finder) wanted to keep him and she did. They've become attached to him and enjoy having him around and they are experienced horse people so it's a good match.

This sounds like a resolution that is good for everyone involved, including the horse. That's great news!
