Any Monarch of the Glen fans?

For those who aren't familiar, this is a great show that ran on the BBC around 2000 - 2007, I believe. Great show about a modern-day Scottish clan, including prodigal son Atchie, who is living his own life in London, but learns he is now laird of Glenbogle and responsible for a crumbling castle and 40,000 acres.

The entire series can be watched on YouTube:

Thank you for this. I try to watch all the BBC series'. Currently, I'm watching Doc Martin again and can hardly wait to see series 5, which should reach us in the US, late next year. It was filmed where many of my English rellies still live in Cornwall.

I really liked that one Susanne, good show. Same with Doc Martin... British do come up with some very good shows!

A lot better than what the US is making now a days.

Is there anyplace I can watch Doc Martin online? YouTube appears to only have short samples.

Try to find all the pbs stations in your area. In S. Cal. we have four which we can get on our TV. We have found it on two fairly regularly. You can also see the entire series on Net Flix/Roku etc.

All Creatures Great and Small, is another fabulous old series one should never miss.

Here is a small list of some great old BBC series', many of which can be viewed in the US and elsewhere.

I've always loved All Creatures.

I just watched Love In a Cold Climate. Wonderful!

I thought I regretted missing Brideshead Revisited when it first aired, but when I found it through Masterpiece Theatre's site, I was SO bored after the first few episodes.

Now that I'm finished with seven seasons of Monarch of the Glen, I've been getting my Anglophile fix with the first Downton Abbey, reviewing and preparing for this next season.

Just watched some episodes of the Monarch series on netflix streaming. By the end of the second episode my ear was getting tuned to the brogue.
True, although occasionally I'm very happy that I can replay and translate some of Lexie's (and others') remarks!

Keith and I now find ourselves speaking to each other in a brogue -- or at least our poor attempt!)
