My daughter's riding pony comes into heat so strongly it is ridiculous. We didn't notice it much when we bought her last August, but this spring she is quite the hussy. I stalled my older gelding next to her last night and she was awful. Squirting (sorry on the visual there guys) and rubbing her butt on the stall wall. Today when I turned him out to pasture she went nuts, racing along the fence line and calling for him. She almost ran me over. We can't take her to shows if she is going to lose her mind like this around the geldings. Is it just because it is the first heat of the season, or is there something I can give her? I've been reading about Evitex/chasteberry. Has anyone tried this before? HELP!
