Hi, I am making a move from Phoenix,Arizona, to the Kansas City/ Raytown area in Missouri sometime in the next 3-4 months. I have two very loved geldings, and I need info on the availability of equine vets and a farrier who will trim minis in that area. I welcome all suggestions. Thankyou so very much. Cathy D

You have a PM.

I can't be of any help on the vet/farrier question, but we lived in Raytown for 30 years! Moved back to the farm in south Missouri after hubby retired from GM in '97. When I first discovered minis a few years before we moved back here, Delmer Moody was in that area. Not sure exactly where he was located, we talked on the phone a couple of times. As far as I know he's still there, so I'm sure he'd know of a good vet/farrier in the area.

Hi Melba,

Thankyou very much for your reply. I can use all the information I can gather so I have resources to refer to. I am looking forward to leaving the desert. I need green, and my family who live in Mo. Cathy

Good luck with your move! I'm not familiar enough to recommend any horse resources, but I do travel to Kansas City a couple-few times a year on business and love it

I hope you will, too.

Hey Cathy

Feel free to email me anytime you have questions! I'm sure things have changed a lot since we left, but after 30 years I'm pretty familiar with the area!

We're about 5 hours southeast of Raytown now, so if you're ever looking for a day trip, come on down for a visit!
