My Dad is out of surgery...

Thanks so much, all!

I talked to my Dad early this a.m. (9:00 eastern, so it was still dark, here!) and he sounded pretty worn out, said he thought he'd overdone the pain meds (he has one of those self medicating clickers), but I told him he needed to stay pain free so he can get up and move about and get to healing.

He says they did end up cutting a larger incision than originally thought b/c the mass was larger than anticipated, but he has just two other small bandaid sized holes and he is pretty sore and woozy, but may get to go home Saturday or Sunday.

It will be great that he can get back home, but I don't want him to hurry too much as I know the doctors and nurses can keep an eye on him and he's one of those like me who will rush home b/c they hate being in the hospital and waited on, but really probably need a day or two more to rest and recuperate.

I'm very relieved about his outcome and hoping they can come visit early next year as they were planning to do about a month and a half ago.
