Such a NICE place. I dont know what it is but I LOOOOVVVVVEEEEE ponds and waterfalls!!!

Thanks for the compliments. Minxie is quite the princess so she needs her chandelier. Maplegum, you get me down there and back, I will design a garden for you! No charge!

I am still working on the front yard. It used to have a house on it that I tore down. Now I am landscaping it...no grass! One of these days I will get some pictures of that.

It is all a work in progress!

I forgot to add, this is not a cloudy day. It is smoke from all the California fires. We are completely smoked in. The fires are at least 100 miles away, but there a lot of them.

Are you sure this isn't a yard in Tennesee>? This is nothing less than an icredbile work of art. Its so peaceful and inviting, relaxing with so many chairs and benches. Simply love it. Can you identify that really big tree there on the left with the dramatic tree trunk? I really think you should come this way for a visit and do my yard for me! My yard is just so borring.

Very beautiful garden and pond! Wow! Looks like heaven. I could sit back there and ready one of my favorite historical romances with no problem!!

Marty,

The big tree is an elm. This tree is over 100 feet tall and about 60 feet in diameter. It also has a rotten junction where all those trunks come together. I am going to have to take it out. It will change the shady feel of the area, but I have underplanted with some other trees that will eventually shade, although I am planting nothing that will get that big. I have no other choice but to cut it down. It WILL eventually break and some of those huge trunks/branches hang over the house, or could fall over on the house. Actually, when it is gone everything will get more sun and start growing fast.

It is a very nice place to kick back and read, as long as my chair isn't too close to Minxie. She likes to help me read. She can also see into the house from there. She tells me when she thinks it is time to eat or when she is bored and wants me to come out and play.

We still have a LONG way to go to get this place landscaped, all we've done in the last two years since the house was built is put in a garden and some flower beds (oh and a strawberry patch that is producing ilke crazy!) You've given me some great ideas, thanks!! And have fun enjoying your slice of heaven!
