This is Cleopatra Jones. She is out of my black Arabian mare Velvet by a black Andalusian Caruso J. I sold her and she is moving to Maine tomorrow. I am sad about it, but she is not a "Kid Friendly" horse. Not nessairly to ride, but just to be around!

Well, it is early in the AM now and in 2 hours my baby will be going to her new home. I worry I will never have another horse as beautiful as her, but then I think about "Beauty is as beauty does" and TRY and remember why I sold her. I can't have an aggressive horse around Loren. It has been a hard 2 almost 3 years protecting him from her and worried that he will wander in the pasture and she will get to him first. Cleo has changes so much in this her 4th year and it has been for the better. She has blossomed into a wonderful girl. But I can't forget what she has been like in the past and still worry that she will hurt Loren.

So I think selling her was the best thing for me at this point in my life.

Thanks for all the nice comments about her. She truly is a beauty.

Yowza! She is gorgeous!

For what it's worth, I think you are doing the right thing. I bet she will go on to be a great horse for her new people, and you will always have the pride of being her breeder.

So hard to make that kind choice. I've had to do it a couple of times with dogs. No fun .
