This was a big shocker for me, my boss informed me today my position he is doing away with at the end of February.

Please pray for us as I start looking for new employment.

Thanks.

I feel for you...

I have been out of work for about 4 months now and am really feeling it. Looking locally and anything within a 30 mile radius. Nothing so far.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. Good lucking finding new employment ASAP...

Well now that really bites.

I'm sorry to hear you will join so many others who are being left looking for employment. I hope you manage to find a replacement position quickly.

My DH is sadly in the same issue. But at least you have till the end of Feb....bet something will turn up before then!

Ouch. Thank heaven your boss gave you some warning, though........ But still an Ouch.

Good luck finding a new position - the same thing happened to me in 2004 but a few months later I landed my dream job and I could not be more pleased with the great staff I work with. When one door closes, another opens.

I'm sorry to hear that, Rob. I will be praying for you and your wife. Hang in there, and remember God is in control.

This is a very dangerous time for all of us. I sure hope you can find something soon.

I was told my job would end last Nov. Luckily they change that to the end of Jan. My time is almost up and still no new job. I have been looking but I am having a hard time even getting interviews. Even the employment agencies have nothing to send me out on.

Both of my son's were laid off. One was lucky and got a job a week later but at less money. The other has only been out of work 1 1/2 weeks. He has three interviews set up for this week. With two young children and a sick wife he needs the health insurance.

I have never seen things this bad.

Good luck to all of you in your job searches.

Wishing you SPEEDY job relocation !! Very scarey times ~

In these times, if your doing good with your job & income, even GREAT you better enjoy....Because you don't have a clu how fast things can change...

Hopefully things are gonna start Changing for the BETTER for ALL of us!......

I feel for you. My hubby was in the same position 2006 and 2007 he was laid off just before Christmas. Oh boy did I pray, for a job that the people would value his experience, dedication and attendance record. He was out of work the last time for several months. I prayed all the time for him to find something. It was very bleek because he is in construction. He would go personally to each job site and ask. Well the Lord does give miracles because he got a job with Clark Construction building huge buildings. They only needed one reference who was this big wig guy Jeff worked with at the Pentagon rebuild.

You will be in my prayers along with the rest of you good people with out jobs. Stay positive, I know its hard, I spent many a day crying. When you pray you have to be specific, don't just ask for work ask for your dreams.

Sorry to hear of your bad news.

Things often happen for the best though, so maybe there is something good waiting for you!

My daughter called me to say that her husband's company is letting 500 people go. . . . . . Microsoft!

Times are hard already. My son and daughter in law are doing what ever it takes to get work. From driving a ice cream van to taking care of the elderly. My neighbor whom I adore just told me he has been out of work for the last 3 months. I just thought he was spending more time at home.

Good luck and keep your chin up things will turn around.

It's more like 5,000, Genie. :\

We just had huge worldwide cuts last week. It was an awful week.
