Its one day shy of me having my most recent rescue home for a month. He is doing much better then before and is getting the sparkle in his eyes more and more. His spirit is also coming through more, but he is still a well mannered boy. He is a flea bitten grey, though his speckling is hard to see in a lot of the pictures. Since he has been shedding out it seems there are more and more “flea-bites†showing up or maybe its just him being really clean and shiny that I am noticing them. Either way his coat is improving.

He is finally getting fully over the rain rot that plagued him when I got him. Before it was covering his whole back, butt and part of his sides it was so bad. We literally peeled away most of the fur that he had there to help get rid of it faster. Though, due to his compromised condition it still took a while for it to completely go away.

Storm is approximately 15 hands and is a quick learner. Though he does try to invade your space a bit, but he is getting better. He is backing on a lead well now, ties well and just generally a calm mannered boy. He does enjoy his short walks out on the trails and doesn’t seem to have any spooky nature to him and I have tried a couple of times to spook him. That is good though because I am wanting to use him for trail later on and maybe a couple of open shows here and there. If I decide to show him in any open shows, we have decided to call him Summer Storm, due to the fact that it was sort of summer when we got him and it was storming pretty bad. It seems to fit him rather well so it’s a good choice. Oh yeah he is approximatly 20 years old and is an arabian stallion.

His feed is currently at and is going to stay at 1.5 lbs of alfalfa cubes and beet pulp and 2 lbs of a 10% fat complete feed (that also has rice bran and flax seed in it) three times a day. It seems to be working really well for him and he is definitely getting his spunk back as he has been lifting his tail up more and more. Well I guess that is it.

He is looking great, seems to be filling out nice and gradually but in the right places. Good job you guys!

I'm not sure why but I really just love his ears. That seems like a funny thing for me to notice but they are very lovely ears.

WHAT A LUCKY BOY TO HAVE YOU! HE IS LOOKING SO MUCH BETTER, AMAZING WHAT FOOD WILL DO  , NIKKI

Storm is lucky in many ways. I got the call from Alisa the day she bought him and we had JUST bought our full sized horse trailer. Before that all I had was a mini horse height trailer. So Storm got to be the 1st full sized horse in our trailer and he was only to happy to get into it! He was for sure a pitiful horse but oh so sweet and pleasant. He sure is looking better!
