This is sort of horse related, but not totally... I have a cold, and couldn't really go anywhere today, so I decided to do a watercolor painting of my little girl, Halo. Since it was sunny, I went out on my deck, and did it out there, and was able to finish it, today, because the sun was drying the layers up faster than normal. Anyway, here it is. I have never painted a horse before. Was worried it wouldn't look like her, but it does. So it is now framed and up on my wall.

Hope you feel better soon!

Thank you...on top of it being my first horse painting, it was the first painting I did, since my Dad passed away, back in Oct. The last painting I had done, was for him, a week before he left us. So starting this was a bit hard, but once I got going, I was fine and enjoying it again.

Nice Painting and it does look like Halo!!!!! Sorry you lost your Dad. I lost my Dad a year ago this past September. But maybe your painting again will help you through your difficult time. You are talented and certainly should not give it up. I am sure your Dad would want you to continue with your painting and he is probably smiling down at your painting of Halo!!

Thank you, Misty's Mom. I hope I get the bug to do it again soon. I was painting every chance I got, last year, but then when my Dad passed, I just lost the desire. But it is slowly coming back now. Halo is a great subject, so I am sure I will do more of her.

Oh that is beautiful and so like Halo! You are very talented so I hope you will be able to continue with your paintings. I'm sorry about your Dad - losing ones parents is always very hard, but I'm sure he would have wanted you to continue with your artistic work.

Hope your cold gets better soon.

Thank you, everyone. I appreciate the compliments and support. Cold is getting better...still hanging on, but better than it was last week. Yes, my Dad would of wanted me to continue. I just had to wait until the desire came back. I still get sideswiped with emotions, but not as much as I use to. I am sure that will be that way forever, honestly. I can't imagine that I will ever stop missing my Dad. I was very close with my parent's. I still have my Mom, and I enjoy my time with her. Will cherish it.
