Any time a stallion is away from the mares and then taken by them or turned loose with them again, he is going to act studdy- that's what they do. As I said, they get their pecking order straightened out within a few minutes usually and then settle right in. I usually pasture breed and every year the stallion goes out with the mares there is a lot of squealing, screaming, striking, snorting, etc... and then in a few minutes it's over and all is back to normal.
