Well I'm silly and did something I know I'm not supposed to do...after eating some very spicey spaghetti I could barely stay awake and passed out(i was in a verrrrrry deep sleep) for two and a bit hours on the couch...Now that I'm awake my stomach is absolutely killing me...I feel like the spices and my tummy acid combined to make this monster that's slowly killing me...lol. Probs acid reflux or something but deffinetly not something I want right now as my stomach's been acting up a lot lately. So I know there's lots of you out there with secret ways that will make my tummy feel better. I don't have tums or anything like that in the house...would drinking milk make it better? Sounds like it could be a good idea. I had a small glass of cranberry juice and it made it sort of better.

Guh....when will I learn! lol.

It is too late to get some of this tonight so I am not much help, but oil of oregano will help this. A couple drops of this stuff and tummy problems go away. Available in health food stores.

Otherwise, Pepto Bismal, peppermints ro anythign with peppermint in it will usually help some.

Sounds like this house on pizza night. If you were my kid and you wouldn't take something like pepto or tums I'd tell you to go sit on the toilet and stay there for a while.

haha oh dear. Well thanks for the oil tip sounds good...

Someone reccomended I boiled some water and put in lots of sugar and some lemon juice...I have and I'm just drinking it now. It's quite delcious and seems to be helping my tummy although I'm not sure if that's just the "warming" feeling you get from drinking a hot drink or what! haha. So far so good

I really know how bad you feel. It can really hurt. I ate veal parmajan a couple of weeks back and I thought I was going to just die. Had to stuff the pepto down though or I would have been in bad shape for the next day too. Hope that water and lemon works!

I vote for baking soada also. Mix like half a teaspoon or a tad more in a full glass of water and drink it down...beware that you will belch louder and longer than you think possible!

Thanks for the baking soda ideas! Well it(the tummy ache) ended up lasting until about 8pm...it lasted over 24hours. It's still there but only noticeable if I move! haha. Wow do I ever hate my stomach.

I would almost bet that if you went and sipped on some whiskey for a while....you wouldn't feel a thing!!!

Hello,

I felt compelled to throw in my two cents' worth, as my daughter suffered excruciating abdominal pain for more than two years. Is the pain in your stomach area, or is it lower, in the abdomen? She went to several doctors, and she landed in the emergency room a few times. Finally, one intelligent ER doctor had the good sense to check her reproductive system as well as her digestive tract. It was found that she had ovarian cysts forming which would enlarge until they ruptured. Once the cyst had burst, she would experience a few weeks or even months free of pain until another began growing. She had to have surgery for the last one. Stress, and she was really having it, invariably set off the process.

So, if your pain is of the abdominal type, if you HAVE been highly stressed, and if you have been taking BC pills for several years, you might want to have this avenue explored.

I have to go with baking soda. I have been using it for years - a little dash with warm water - very painless and works wonders! ( If you dont like the salty taste though - you may want to try some thing else.) I even use it to brush my teeth...Lori
