What a great show I had overall! My group of 7 horses (both mine and client) garnered ten Top 10's and 2 World Championships! We are all thrilled with the results and couldn't be happier.
The biggest disappointment in the ring was one of my 3 Liberty horses. She was 7th in the order of go and she was BRILLIANT! Big, rolling gallop, tail flagging, park trot and an awesome catch. She should have placed well if not won and she was given the gate.
Not even listed on any of the 5 judges cards. I don't know why, but I will be looking into it......
My other low is my little yearling colt, Red, is still in the hospital in Ft Worth.
He developed ulcer symptoms which we started treating aggressively then that turned into an impaction then colitis. He did manage to show in one class before he got bad where he went Top 10 in Amateur Jr Stallions, Level 1, 30" & Under with my daughter Cammie. He showed his heart out and I am so disappointed he didn't get to compete in Yearling Stallions 28" & Under and Multi Color too, but I am thankful it looks like he will recover and if no setbacks, I will be going back to Ft Worth to pick him up tomorrow.
What a roller coaster ride the past week and a half have been and I'm glad to be home and very greatful for all the wonderful help I had at the show and all the great friends, family, clients and support! I couldn't have done it without them!
