Need Hip Surgery

I am so ticked off! My hip has been hurting since February (I may have posted about this before) anyway...Finally got my MRI and it shows a "loose body" floating around in the articulation area which is causing my pain and making my hip "stick". Well I am thinking "great they can do arthroscopic surgery and remove it and I can walk again without pain" Well of course not that would be too easy No one around here does Hip Arthroscopy! If it was my stinkin knee or shoulder I could find 100 docs to do it. Hershey med center can do it but can't get me in for a consult until Feb which means Spring before I can be out of pain! Meds don't help because the anti inflams are more muscular and this is bone related - PT doesn't help either...

I can't walk therefore my butt is getting bigger

What a viscous cycle this is! Okay done gripping. I am still on my own hunt for a surgeon maybe in the Philly area - heck I'd go to Pittsburg.

Sorry you have to go through that hon..I truly know how bad that hurst..I have bad hip too but have refused to set up hip replacement as I had a knee replacement 7 months ago and don't feel up to doing it yet.

Course youer young and yours will go fast and well! Let us know. Maxine

OUCH! That is a bad one. Don't worry about your butt. Keeping bugging the secretary's at your dr's office until they find the right surgeon for you.
