Well, I don't really like cranberry relish, but helped make Mom's for years; eventually I started to kind of like it.

1 bag frozen cranberries (sort out the really icky ones)

1 orange (thin-skinned seeded)

1 apple (cored only)

1 cup of sugar

Run it all through a grinder and then mix in sugar and chill for a day or two. [Mom had an old-fashioned hand-crank grinder we used.]

The best recipe is the one on the back of the Oceanspray Cranberry package!!! Just add some fresh orange zest and a couple tablespoons of frozen orange juice to the mix - trust me, it's AWESOME!!!

Im not much of a measuring type of cook and I tend to measure by a "dollop" but here is one I make and it probabbly never tastes the same every time but my guests always love it

Fresh cranberries about 1/2 bag a little more than rough chop in food processor

about 2 handfulls of mini marshmellos

Fold in a tub of cool whip

Some chopped walnuts ( I like the crunch so I dont over chop ) about 3/4 cup

zest of 1 orange...I usually squeeze 1/2 the orange in too.

1 peeled and chopped apple

If I happen to have raisins or dried apricots I sometimes add those too

Very easy too make as there is no cooking involved!!

I make my own too

1 bag fresh cranberries (remove any really yucky ones and any stems)

1 cup orange juice

1 large apple, peeled and sliced

sugar to taste ( I start with 1/4 cup)

Somtimes i add a bit of cinnimon, but usually i just use the above

Put everything in a pot and stir until sugar is mixed in. Cook on med-high heat until all the skins on the cranberries burst. I like to stir mine a lot so the berries and apples turn to mush. I don't usually puree it as I like some whole berries too, but you can put it in the food processor and its nice that way.

I made some sugar free low carb kind with a bag of cranberries, 1 cup water, bunch of nutra sweet and splenda

You can also add jello to make it more firm.

Thank you Ladies, Gosh they all sound so good and of course I will have to try all the different ways.

Big Thanks

My favorite

1 can Ocean spray whole cranberries

1 can mandarin oranges, drained

1/4 to 1/2 cup chopped pecans

mix it all together and chill. The recipe calls for 1/4 cup but I like it with a lot more nuts.

My step-mother gave me this recipe because my father LOVES it--he'll eat it with crackers. My husband & mother-in-law love it, too. I make it at Thanksgiving & Christmas. It makes a LOT.

8 c. (about 4 bags) fresh cranberries, roughly chopped (I do it in the food processor.)

3 1/2 c. sugar

2 c. orange marmalade

4 c. golden delicious apples, diced (I've used other apples & no one noticed.)

1/3 c. lemon juice

2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Mix and store in a glass container. It is good for 30 days. You can make it for Thanksgiving and have some at Christmas (if there's any left).
