Nefertiti approaching the 1 year mark

Changes coming on the horizon for us....

Intrepid/Chance will be off to a new home very soon... her Coggins/health paperwork was done and her new owner is looking forward to getting her home and allowing her to be the show horse she is meant to be! She is setting herself up on voice command, is negiotiating obstacles and is jumping in hand with care - watching her handler to make sure she is right in step. My applause to her... she is an awesome girl! :aktion033:

Nefertiti had a dry cough for the past two weeks - veterinarian said yesterday "all is clear but she just has a tickle in her throat". She is healthy and eating well... and is so much fun to work with. She is so unlike any horse I have worked with and I know she has potential for the show ring... her attitude is so apparent our veterinarian commented on it!

New Morgan fillies coming in - a breed I have loved since I was little and owned one for a little bit of time...one was born the day after Neffie so she will have other yearlings to grow with.

Each day of walks and training the "Nefersquirt" have been rewarding - she is very sensitive and ready to go...I feel lucky that this granddaughter of my favorite Modern is here with me!

Congrats to Intrepid's new owner whoever they are! She is such a lovely mare!

Congrats on your new Morgans! They are a beautiful breed and I envy you!

Sounds like Nefertiti is growing into a fine young lady. Can't wait to see what she looks like when she sheds out this spring!

Intrepid/Chance's new owner is very excited - she has two Shetland geldings, a Modern and a Classic that Intrepid will be joining. She is looking forward to showing and since I have given Intrepid some training in jumping in hand and halter obstacle, she will have other areas to show her stuff in the ring. She also learned to "smile" on command... Indy and Finnie do that and it ALWAYS nets them attention.

Nefertiti is exactly the Modern of my dreams... I love her attitude, the way she carries herself, the way she will kick out at Freedom when Freedom has disciplined her and thinks she had the last word...we take our weekend walks around our property and it is fun to watch her focus on different footing and how she looks to me for guidance "What do I do next, Mom?"

I owe everyone some pics! Will try this weekend with Ben's new camera!
