Hi, Everyone --

My AMHA / AMHR April filly from Fantasy Corral / Ashley is home! We got her on Tuesday and took some pictures today. I'm so happy with her. She's got such a pretty head and big, inky black eyes. She is very sweet! I will get better pictures later, but here she is today -- shaggy and settling in

With AMHA, her name is Fantasy Corrals Secret Treasure. We have to resubmit to AMHR since "Treasure" is an owned suffix (grrr...). She's probably going to be Fantasy Corrals Treasured Secret for her AMHR name.

Treasure was born light palomino, but as you can see, she is going grey

: She's got some Buckeroo blood on the top side, and some Egyptian King on the bottom side which is similar to how DunIT (my coming 2yo show stallion) is bred.

It's going to be fun watching she and Flirt (my silver buckskin Rowdy / Buckeroo filly) grow up together. For now, Flirt is bossing her around like she's a rough neck. Treasure is a little bigger than Flirt and could probably kick her butt, but is too nice to do it :bgrin Flirt is in for a reality check SOON as she will be weaning and separated for awhile so I can work with her more easily one on one (she plays hard to get).

Thanks for looking!

What a cutie! Congratulations! :aktion033: :aktion033:

She is beautiful Jill, CONGRATS!

You really have some absolutly beautiful horses, can't wait to see your babies in the coming years!

question - in the second photo what kind of wire is that you used in the back ground, I have page wire and it does not seem as thick as what you have - yours looks stronger. I need to next summer fence off more land for my 4 minis and do not like page wire so much even though for 300 feet of it does add up and will need a lot to do 1 acreage or more and really do not want to use long wooden rails because I hate cutting and measuring pluss animals can get through that.

Congratulations! She has such a pretty, feminine face and LONNNGGGG legs.

Is she destined for DunIt then?

: Hehe sorry, couldn't resist?

Even I am looking forward to the foals you are going to produce!

Very pretty girl, I love her current color and wow she's got some coat on her, having come from the North I guess she would have to, I hear it's cold there already.

I'm going to have a lot of fun playing with Treasure this weekend!

The fencing you're seeing is made of cattle panels, which I really like because they are very sturdy. We are replacing all the field fencing on our property with cattle panels. I bought a ton of them and we are replacing sections as we get time. They are rigid and are 16' long and 52" tall.

I'm in Virginia and I bought them from our local co-op and had them deliver them (they are heavy / cumbersome to haul). I think I paid about $19/each. I bought 40 (I think) and got a discount for buying that number. We had already replaced a bunch of the fence before deciding to replace it all and buying the ones we recently purchased.

Congrats Jill! She is just so beautifull!! Sunday night I pick up my new mare and I am just so excited!

Don't have to much fun with her:)

She certainly does have doe eyes! Admittedly I had a good snorting laugh at picture three tho--is that her bully tagging along behind?! Talk about a Napoleonic complex!

(And we also use cattle panels--they look better than most other wire fences, are sturdier, and have wide enough squares we don't have to worry about them catching a hoof).

:aktion033: CONGRATS!!! I am so glad she made it safe and sound! Her eyes melt my heart. I have been watching to see if she got there. I was able to see her sire in person and loooved him. Is her dams sire Lil Hills Hot Shot? I bought Hot Shot from Diane, she retained some of Hot Shots get...he is an Hemlock Brooks Egyptian King grandson and wondered since she has this bloodline if this was one of his grandkids

Congratulations to both you and Ashley. Ashley is a nice gal and I have enjoyed visitng with her. Your new filly "Treasure" sure has a pretty face and looks like she is working on a good winter coat too! I will be curious to see her after spring and a summer coat or clipped. She is pretty and looks like your other horses Jill.
