Dam - Silver Black (Silver Dapple) - Sire - Perlino

I think she is definitely Silver, Blonde Eyelashes, Striped Hoofs, and you can see silver highlights in mane and tale..

Maybe Silver Bay?

I KNOW we say post pictures, but it's hard to tell the color of a foal when all you see is one hoof!!!!

So, congratulations is all I can say!!

Look forward to actual foal pictures!!

Are you sure the sire is a true perlino? She looks silver bay from the pictures (though it's hard to see true color on computers sometimes). Do you know what colors the sire's sire and dam were by chance? I am not seeing the cream and if the sire is perlino she would have to have it.

This mare was already breed when I purchased her, the story goes.. White Horse was seen covering her on June 12th 2010... That's all I was told, however, I did see the stallion from a distance and he was solid white with light skin, so I don't think he was a grey, and looked Perlino to me..

So REALLY all I know for sure is it's a white horse..

She looks silver bay to me. My hunch is the sire is not truly perlino nor another "shade" of double dilute.

I honestly don't know what color she is at this age it is too hard for me to tell! Point is: she's adorable! Congratulations

Yes I agree with the Silver Bay as well, I think that's what I will call her until she gets a little older! lol

I spoke with the lady I bought her from and she still swears he is Perlino, but then went off and said that another Solid Bay Mare just foaled a Bay Pinto to him last week.. So I don't know what to think at this point..

Where is the color calculator? I would like to find out what are the odds on color for a silver bay roan mare bred to a black and white frame overo stallion? I am dying to see this new baby! I hope it is a minimal white silver bay pinto! And if I can, I'd like to order a boy, too, please! LOL!!!

Just thinking, a greyed blue eyed pinto w/ a lot of white would possible look double dilute (? ... I'm guessing that the skin of a double dilute will not darken with greying but don't know for sure). Double dilute is one of my pet "things" (that and dun). We've got 6 double dilute mares / fillies and had another one years ago that I raised from a foal. It seems like the stallion owner thinks her stallion is double dilute but that she's mistaken.

Oh, also, maybe he's a max white sabino?
The owner just sent me a picture of him on my phone, not a good picture... But he has light skin, white body, but Mane looks like a yellow off white color.. Looks more Cremello but has dark eyes.. I have no ideal, but if he through a Bay Pinto with a solid Bay Mare then maybe a max white sabino..

Yes, he cannot be double dilute of any color and siring foals that are bay and silver bay. A lot of horses can be "white with blue eyes" yet not be double dilute. No double dilute horse will have eyes that are dark (they must be blue). Either way, whatever color, your filly is precious

He may also be palomino pinto with blue eyes and have a bald face (reason for pink skin on the face). Some shades of palomino are very light, and that may explain the yellowish mane. She's still super cute nontheless

I just realized you said he had dark eyes. I bet he is a palomino pinto then. From a distance it'd be easy to think one was solid white, especially if he had a lot of white pinto markings.

He could be a sabino. He cannot be a cremello or perlino if he has dark eyes!

The foal looks silver bay to me too.
