New mares are HERE...finally!!

We would like to introduce to our farm Little Kings Crimson Dream and Sharrway Replica's Sequel...both are sweet mares and I LOVE them!!!

They arrived last night after dark, so we only got one pic of me holding them, but this morning we went out there with the camera and took pics nd video! Also introduced them to our other horses and Seq is definitely gonna be the "boss mare"...lol Everyone is getting along well, tho!!

THANK YOU SOOOOO much Leeana for allowing us to purchase your girls!! You have been the best seller and I appreciate everything you have done for us!!

I cannot even count how many times I had Dream up in the barn with plans to show her but ended up needing the stall for something else - so maybe one day you will get to follow through with that!

BTW ~ I just LOVE the video too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love Dream's trot eh? That mare can trot all day long...driving possibilities would be endless.......say PLEASURE driving?

I just am curious though, are their necks shaved or do you have some sort of wrap on them? As most of you know I am somewhat new to mini's and was just wondering why they are shaved, if they are shaved? I know why they would have a wrap on them, if that is what it is!

Their necks are "shaved". Leeana tried to clip them a little before they got here, but her blades was not working well, so it is not finished...I will be finishing it in the next few days....I live in a warmer climate (well, except for this weeekend...brrr), so clipping the heads and necks helps when they sweat, because they do still grow a winter coat. Plus I love looking at "clean" heads and necks...

Actually Linda, that clip is how I intended it to look. I seen, many years ago, a lot of people do it on sale horses during the fall and winter especially on broodmares to show their neck and front end a bit, and take the long hairs off from under the chin. I kind of like it.............

But I can see how some can look at it and go

. I must admit Dream was a tough one as her hair is so poofy..
