It was commissioned for a friend from someone on Lil Beginnings. It really does not have blue on the face or faded spots on the flowers. I think the paint was damp still when we took the photo!
Oh me oh my!! How gorgeous. And of course it is the wonderful Stonehenge Painted Feather! I was just admiring him this morning in the newest issue of MHW magazine. He is the sire of one of my mares who got the gorgeous crystal eyes and an unusual grey overo pinto color. Maybe one day I can have you paint for me.Sigh. What great artistic talent! And of course what a great horse he is. I think that one white ear is so neat!
When Jane offered me partnership with Feather and four mares I thought I was hearing things for sure. Once the dust settled and I realized that this was a possibility for me we began making the arrangements to have Feather and the girls moved here to my farm. I still feel as though I have died and gone to heaven. I have admired Stonehenge Painted Feather forever it seems and Jane has been one of the very best friends I have made in this industry. I love her with my whole heart and I could never thank her enough for making my dreams of sharing Feather a reality. This is just a small token of my appreciation to her for allowing me to love Feather up close and personal instead of from afar. Our partnership means the absolute world to me and I cannot express in words how I feel about this beautiful horse and my dear friend. He is everything I ever thought he was and more.
