Meet Sadie and Ginger. Sadie is in the basket, has shorter fur and was told is very roudy. Ginger is the snuggle bunny. Have them in the house in the computer room for now...at least until the outdoor heated bed comes in Monday. Have them in the super giant kennel and they are to be outside mousers. They will be in the Kennel in the mini horse shed at night and during the day they will be let out in the mini shed to play and all that and still be safe from predators. When they are big enough they will be allow out around the house. Can never be too careful here.

So they are the future mousers for around the horse shed.

Keeping Heidi out of the room they are in now. She is too old and the Vet did not give her, her vaccines this year because of her age. Vet said to keep her away from other cats and dogs. She is sooo not going to be happy even knowing the kittens are in the house for now.

They have had their first two sets shots and has been wormed. Will have to take them in for the 3rd set in 3 weeks. Unusual for free kittens but the folks we got them from are like us...animals get the care they need even given away for free.

They have 4 males to find homes for....in case anyone is interested.

cute, I think it is not normal for female cats to be orange. We had one years ago. She was a tiny long hair. Its like most calicos are female, most orange are male.

Or am I just nuts.....

That is what I was told but they are both girls. Though come to think of it.. 30 years ago I had a orange female cat.

Have to giggle...come to think of it... I do not have a "normal" animal on the place. <LOL>

Cute babies! I remember reading that about orange awhile back as well - I think it's like 80 some % of orange are male.

WoW... are they female kitties?

For some reason in my head I thought Orange Tabbys were almost always boys?

AND Calico/Tortoise Shell Kitties... are almost always girls?

I love their names

yup, both girls! Thanks! Keep waiting for them to wake up from their nap........ am sure in a couple of days.. I will be wishing for them "to" take a nap. <LOL>

beautiful kittens..I have a big orange male cat named Rocky..He has extra toes on the front so makes it looks like he's wearing boxing gloves.

We had an orange cat that had 6 kittens. They were mixed- male/felmales. I know only calicos are females but I think organge cats can be either. I gave them to good home. I told the kids that Garfield was the dad

We have Sweet Pea and SHE looked just like your little girls when we got her. So I guess there are females.

When my son told me he wanted an orange kitten/male, I told him no problem as they are always male...luckily he vetted her right away and was told "he" was a "she." I guess most are male, but certainly not all! I was also told that orange is a breed...is that true?

She is part manx and came from a mixed color litter, so I have a hard time believing it, but a friend who has always had cats insists it is true. Any cat folks out there that have heard this before??

Do not know of Orange cats are their own breed?

All I know is, I have had 3 orange females ..one in the past and two now.

The litter these two came from there were 3 living girls and 4 boys. Pretty common blend no matter the color.

They are starting to be more themselves.... playfull....and boy are they going to be a handful! <LOL>

We had lots of kittens from our barn cats before they were spayed. There several female orange tabbys in the litters. The vet also said that was rare. But I wonder if it really is.

Your kittens are cuties

I love them! Oh I always thought they were male if they had no white on them. I like girl cats. I want one!!

In England we call them GINGER! And a typical ginger cats name is TREACLE as in treacle pudding. Yum!

There is a wonderful handmade Treacle toffee made in Scotland. Sadly we can't get it here.
