Ok, First off............I figured out why Jack has all of a sudden the need to hump Mitzy dog. Seems the little brat is in heat. She dont show any signs other then her blanket in her kennel has some blood on it.

So my question, how long are they in heat for? And do they bleed the whole time? I am not sure when this started, but I do know it has been with in the last 3 days. I had cleaned a stain off of the blanket prior to that and it wasnt there then.

Mitzy Dog will be 10 months on Jan. 3rd.

Anyway, now on to the MItzy dog..........

Is it bath time mom???

Cute! The last pic looks like they are saying, What we didn't do anything". Looks like a couple partners in crime to me! ha! Enjoy them. Lavonne

No they don't bleed the whole time usually about 3-4 days thats going to be an interesting mix for sure.

Well its a good thing jack lost his jingle bells

being her first time 3 weeks is probably the longest it would last and may be shorter.....good luck and keep her on a leash at all times so no wanderers get any ideas

Mitzy is never off of her leash. The only time she is lose is in the house or she gets funny ideas about birds and well thats not good.

Mitzy got some doggy underware tonight. It will help with the blood, and help keep Jack from trying to breed her, as he has only been fixed 2 weeks.

I am not home right now, but when I left she wasnt to thrilled with her new clothing. I figure if she wont keep it on then I will just put it on Jack to keep him from breeding her.

For your sanity hopefully jack will just be a humper and not actually hmmmm go all the way

he has nothing to knock her up with being minus his jingle bells BUT I know a neutered male who can will and does tie with any receptive female.....hopefully mitzy will eat jacks face and disuade him of such doggy porn

It is a three week cycle. They normally ovulate around day 8-16, this is when the female is actively interested in being bred! My dogs bleed for much of this time but it is darkest and heaviest while ovulating.

Your dogs are cute, such a contrast!

I have 4 jacks!

Well like I said I do have doggy undies on Mitzy. My breeder friend recommended these, if for nothing else to prevent Jack from breeding her, should he decide he wants to.

She is actually, which is very supriseing, keeping them on. She hasnt bled much since what was on her blanket as she has had the dipper on for about 5 hours and there is only a tiny ting of blood that you can bearly see.

Profit shareing comes from work in Febuary. With that, miss Mitzy will lose her Holly Berries. I was gonna keep her whole for awhile and possibly show her, and have a litter later, but I tell ya, today changed my whole mind on that one.

Ashley you are a smart girl

intact females are a royal pain in the arse......your vet will probably reccomend you wait till she is out as there is a risk of excessive bleeding when they are in season.....oh and btw....mitzy is a cutie...and jack looks like a major handful.....

She is adorable, Ashley! Don't laugh at her wearing her undies or it will embarrass her

Jack is, and he is makeing very unhappy with him. He seems to only be getting worse in his potty training. He plain out pretty much refuses to poop outside now, and he never used to poop in side. I can be out there for half in hour and he wont go , but come in the house and thats the first thing he does.
