Took a little time before the rain hit today, to snap a few pictures of Streaker ( Erica's Streakn' For Bucks) - Little Kings Big City Bucks (Buckeroo son and Ramblin Starbuck grandson) x MCC Feathers Silver Streak (a Yellow Diamond Little Feather daughter and Egyptian King grandaughter) now that he is almost 7 months old.

Wanted to get a few pictures before he started growing his hair out again; he went to AMHR Nationals this past week and went Top Ten in those HUGE weanling classes (some of them upwards of 80+ horses). He lost a little weight on the trip, but he done so well, as I don't work my babies, he was just pulled out of the weanling pasture the week before Nationals, not been sweated or worked. He went out there and stood so good, did mom proud.

He is 28" at 7 months, I expect him about 32 maybe even smaller (as my babies grow fast) and his color is a weird one, I would say he is changing to some form of smutty buckskin - or buckskin roan.

If you remember he looked like this at just two days old - looked very much like a bay

And this is him now......

I am VERY pleased with Big City's first foal crop, he is producing such Long, clean necks, pretty heads, good hips and tight bodies.....and they have movement too!

I also took Prankster (Erica's Big City Prankster Bucks) who took a National Top 5 placing........but I think the photographer got a really nice picture of him, he showed SO GOOD, so I didn't get around to snapping any of them today

He's gorgeous Erica....definitely has legs & neck! :aktion033: I love how refined he is. He is gonna mature into a really nice boy!

He looks really good.

Still Bay, but really good.

Unless you have a Roan parent, by the way, he can't be Roan??

Erica, he is so gorgeous, but then you know that.

Well I just don't think he is going to be bay Jane, though I could care less what color - paint him purple, I am still happy with him.......and I LOVE bays, actually my favorite color, but I still say streaker will be a smutty buckskin.

But if you look at Sheryl's avatar - "Jinx" is what I think Streaker will end up colorwise, as I owned Jinx before I sold him to Sheryl and his color clipped out as a youngster looked a lot like Streaker (and the same Buckeroo background in pedigree)

I mean I have LOTS of bays.....my experience with them when you clip them off, esp clipping all that baby fuzz off is that they are almost black, or really dark (as bay is a black based color)

Here are 3 half sisters/brothers to Streaker (all out of Big City) who are bays for sure - very rich and when I clipped them they were very dark, yet grew back in bright bay (Gambler has grown back in, in his picture) the other two are baby pictures

And here is Streaker - unclipped, and not bay looking to me at all......

Erica, should you ever really have a purple horse, you KNOW that will be a sign from above that he / she's meant for me, right

These babies, , , they are just all SO outstanding!!!!

Nice colt, Erica!! I knew he would be a speciel one and I just love his liquid eyes! He is so pretty and I think you are darn lucky to own Big City and have all those nice baby's:) You have a nice breeding program and I hope someday I can own a horse like Streaker!!
