I just tried a new tall barn boot recently and wanted to share. Tingley has a new ultra light weight tall barn muck boot. They are under $35. They are soooooo light and flexible and comfortable. Your feet dont sweat but they are also warm. hard to describe but claim to be warm in winter and cool in summer. funny story... I was looking for a new barn boot and my daughter points to a box on the shelf and says "how about those boots?". I said to her, "that box is empty, there are no boots in that box".. We went back and forth a few times and I kept telling her there were no boots in the box and she kept saying there were. I picked up the box and shook it and say to her "see... no boots, only a box"... She opens the box and I was shocked... There were boots in the box and they were so feather light it felt like the box was empty. I say to her "if they are that light, I have to try those boots on". They fit great and were so comfortable I was sold. All the amish guys at the store said they were wearing the boots too and really liked them. Typically I had bought bogs or muck boots but cry at the price. These boots are well worth the price. I think the box said eva knee boots on it, but they were described as "ultra light".. so folks, if you love nice soft water proof barn boots about the height of a nice riding boot, check out the new tingley boots. You won't be disappointed. Oh, and by the way..... the box is NOT empty. hahaha.

I'll have to try these. Right now I use Bog boots and I'm really happy with them. I tried going cheaper but I wear my boots every day year round so the rubber in the cheaper boots would crack within a few months. My Bogs have been able to pull me through a year or more without being replaced so the price tag has been worth it. Add in the fact they cope with below zero weather and then knee high mud in the spring and I've had no complaints. But if I can find a cheaper boot that lasts, I'd be really happy so I'm off to check out Tingley boots. Love their name! Thanks for the suggestion.

I still love my bogs. I would probably go with both. Can't beat bogs for very cold winters. Nice to find a knock around boot that doesn't cost as much, but I would still keep one pair of bogs for those dead of winter cold days. I also have only had these boots a few weeks and will report back if they last. I am very hard on boots with the dairy barn. PS, these boots do not protect your toes from being stomped on as well as a bog. Muck boots just don't fit me for some reason. duck feet. Wide toes and narrow heel.

I'm going to look them up right now!! Thanks! I go through boots like water!

I noticed that amazon just jacked the price up on these in the last week. Must be getting more popular, I know that some places start a boot at an introductory price and if it gets popular they raise the price. I am going to get a second pair while I can get them. My amish milking supply store sells them for under $35. I have found them on some safety shoe sites for cheaper than amazon. Not sure if you can buy them direct from tingley. Sears doubled the price on them. shop around folks for the best price

I love my Bogs also but would be willing to give these a try. My Bogs are finally wearing out after a couple of years of lots of wear. I have a pair of Sloggers but they make my feet and back hurt. I might just try these but also get a new pair of Bogs also before next winter. Also love my Ariat safety boots. My employer re-imburses me on them. When I wear out a pair I bring them home and wear them around the farm in dry weather.

Still wearing mine and loving them but I would not describe them as cool in summer but they are not bad. They are knee high and my legs got warm today since it hit 88 degrees. Before today I would say they felt pretty cool though.. Maybe I will sweat off some inches off my legs. haha. They are so nice for around our barn and for fishing and for walking in wet cow poop though, those low rider shoes swamp out easily so I am still glad I got these. My bogs and mucks were much warmer than these, but I only wore the half calf bogs and these boots are knee high. I am seriously hoping they will come out with a mid calf boot if these become popular. They are the lightest boots I have ever worn. Wore them on my 4 wheeler yesterday and rode down to the creek to go fishing. My 4 wheeler can get rather hot on the legs and these boots worked great for protection from the heat and when I was washing the mud off the 4 wheeler it was nice not having wet feet or pant legs. Anyway... update, these boots are still doing good.. My amish milking supply guy just got a bunch more in, still under $35.
