They didn't even give me an option of remaining with the old version! ugh.

I am having a lot of trouble with the new version. Took me a while to figure out when I want to compose an email I have to scroll over to the far right of my screen and push the + sign to add a contact.

My address list shows up, I highlight the address that I want and it does not jump in the stupid composition box. Finally I went to "help"

"Help" said I have to click "done"

I can't find "done"!!!!

Is not on the drop down contact list.

Any help would be appreciated!

Geez Marty! I have pondering their *new* email, the email I received pretty much said we HAVE to upgrade. I haven't yet because the last time was very frustrating, didn't work appropriatly, was a nightmare, and I just went back to old yahoo email. Now we can't. I dread the switch and hope someone can tell you and the rest of us how to solve those problems.

I still use the old 'classic' yahoo.... I bet there is an option- I just bet it's hidden. I tried one of their new ones a couple of years back and switched back in about 5 minutes- I like the original.

I found the problem and fixed it. Took forever. I don't have the option at all to change back. It was there for one second, then when I clicked on it, it went right into the new version again. No choice. I really hate all these upgrades. Most of the time when I upgrade it takes me a long time to get used it to. Boo.........

I'm thinking of getting a gmail account and not using yahoo any more. I hate the "upgrades" and I hate all that junk that has to load on the yahoo page. Plus, jumping through 2 hoops to get to the inbox. gmail doesn't have all that.

I must still be on the old version, so far, I'm having no problems with my Yahoo e-mail.

Oh i hate it. It makes me so mad. I dont know why they change things cuz everytime they do its worse!

I agree and you know the old saying 'If it ain't broke, dont fix it'. I like the old version and it worked just fine... dont need all this other crap. I dont know why they cant just leave well enough alone.

Actually I just switched back to the old version last week...new one finally drove me crazy....you can go back to the traditional version, think it is under options.

Think I will stay with the old one. Glad you brought this up Marty. It would be so hard to switch to another provider like gmail since everything is linked to my current decade long email account.

It was enough to make me move over to Gmail! I opened my new Gmail account a couple weeks ago and I'm much happier now!

Here's a link to a Yahoo page explaining that they actually have removed the option to revert to an old interface:

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/ymail/migrating/fromclassic/mltamnoswitch.html

I only switched from Classic today to make sure the info I gave on how to change your "From" name was also correct for the new interface, and now I'm stuck with the dreaded "New Yahoo." Great.

Ha! I found a way to get Yahoo to let me revert back to Classic. Apparently lowering your screen resolution will get the necessary prompt. It's easy to do with Windows 7 - just right click on your desktop, choose the Screen Resolution option, and then scroll it all the way down. The next time you open the new Yahoo mail, it will bring up a message about your resolution. At the bottom right corner of that message it gives two options for reverting to an older version. Don't click the top link - it will only switch you back until you change your screen resolution again - be sure to click the second one. Once you've made the switch, you can change your resolution back.

Hahahahahha, oh that was a good trick! Dont know how you found that, but that's sure good to know!!! I never opt for any of their new options- tried it once and that was enough... and yes, everything I do in the world is linked to that email, lol
