Since we are only a few days away from New Year's I was wondering if anyone had been thinking about what they would like to accomplish in 2006.

1. Getting my gelding "Storm" driving.

I finally bought a harness last week so I am one step closer to following through on this

2. Get my second barn up.

I am going to ensure that my hubby DOES this, no more procrastination on this one!!! I have a dismantled barn that was given to us and needs to be put up. All of this lumber and siding ect has now been laying on our property for a year already!!!

3. Hopefully 2006 will grace me with 2 new foals, healthy and alive

Just ordered by foaling monitor etc.

4. My biggest wish for 2006 goes towards all of my "forum" family here. May 2006 bring more joys than sorrows, health to all of you and your equine families and human families and lots of love and prosperity.

God bless each and everyone of you

1) Finish Dusty's training

2) Do well in High School Equestrian Team with Chantilly. First show is in March!

3) Get that end of the year Showmanship award that I missed out on because of missing a show...

4)Go to AMHR nationals with Diego, Jubilee, and Chantilly.

Ok, I bite.

1) Lose 5lbs! I know its not much, but its enough to make wearing pants very uncomfortable.

2) Go to Pinto World, come heck or high water (and living on the Gulf Coast that's very possible!).

3) National All Star Open Classic Showmanship Champion (this year I'm 2nd unofficially)

Of course, these are on top of: sell my house, buy a new house, and help hubby find a job in our new town!

My new resolution....to be better prepared for the hurricanes in 2006...!!!!!!! Like, Carin, I too live on the Gulf Coast.....going to buy a generator, make arrangements early in the year for a place to take my horses farther upstate, and make sure everything is insured to the fullest.....'cause it's gonna happen again!!

Okay I don't normally do these things, but here it goes

We would like to finish our stallions run area.

I want to buy a nice driving gelding/mare and a cart (nothing fancy just for fun around farm)

Want to get a new mare for breeding.

Praying we can finally take a family vacation this May (haven't been in 10 years)

Wouldn't mind furthering my education with an at home study corse for veterinary medicine... but that one may once again get put on back burner since I am a full time mom and homeschool teacher for the kids

This is a weird one but I am swearing NOT to cut my hair in 2006. After seeing me in holiday pics this year I decied I look rather old and so I will attempt to grow my hair to see if it softens my face wrinkles.

Also I will not be buying or trading for any more horses....being burned really made me stop and think hard about my life and just what I can do and what I want. No more for me.

1) Obtain a palomino mare or filly

wink.gif
2) Obtain a dilute (cremello) stallion

unsure.gif
3) Have a good foaling season

yes.gif
4) Be a better person than last year....making more time for my family

1. Put vinal siding up on the new barn

2. Get loads of gravel to finish up the roads around the new barn so I can drive the truck all around there and not get stuck in the mud

3. Breed Holly, Angel, (she may be bred though) and Silver Belle if possible and if

the good Lord is willing to step in and help

4. Fix the fences again. Get the hot wire all hooked up again and working.

5. Wean Timmy...........oh dear me........

6. Maybe go to a show just to browse and watch if "somebody" will go with me
wink.gif
but not mentioning any names

7. Get my wash racks and tack room built and finished

8. Buy another horse possibly a show filly if opportunity presents itself but I'm not really hunting, it's just an idea

9. Learn to drive

1) I want to learn how to clip my babies correctly

2) Learn how to tame Harley a little more.

3) Get the yard split off.

4) Get our new house with more land!

of course I am always looking to lose about 50 lbs!

1) Geld my yearling (if he drops the other gem)

2) Start ground training Harley my 3 yr old.

3) Purchase an easy entry cart

4) Make my corrals bigger

Hmmm...I already made 2 resolutions in another thread....

But I am game for more..

I would like to lose about 35#....

I would like to put in outlets at each stall corner for heated water buckets.

I would like to get the fencing in the lane patched.

I would like to re-do the big run-in shed and scale it down for the "little" horses, (it was built for BIG horses).

Well, that is a very tall order for me...but I sure wish they all would get done!!

Well I am going to cheat, and just paste from my old thread, maybe seeing them enough will really get me going!

I will finish school and graduate, then get into the next level of school and go for my MBA!

I will pay off All of my little dangling extra bills by April. (Between vet, car, and horses >Total amount about $8,000)

I will go back to the gym and re-discover my 6-pack that's currently coved in my, ahem, Winter Coat.

I will sell at least 2 of next years foals, and if I Do keep 2, I Will sell One of my other horses.

I will find another mare with either Red boy or Buckaroo linage to add to my herd.

I will expand business and grow my clientle by at least 20%!

Wheee-o and I think that's enough for one year!!

Train my mare in harness , I always wanted to do that this year i will next year i hope, and hope i can drive better i did before .

And get a truck soon!

Well, I don't like New Years Resolutions but these are my plans for 2006!

1. Start driving lessons(already have cart, harness and a gelding that is broke to drive so I think it's do-able!)

2. Get myself in show shape! Eat healthier and exercise more so I look better in the show ring!

3. Doing the Pinto circuit "hard" this year with my friend Kathi(wcr), plan on doing lots of shows including Canadian Nationals and Pinto World. I have 4 to show so that's going to be a tough one!

4. Hopefully have 4 uneventful foalings with healthy foals!.....oh, did I mention this event takes place during a month of heavy showing??

5. Keep my sanity if I accomplish above!

6. Oh, and about a million around the house jobs I want to get done.........
