Have not been on here, been kind of hard. Sorry. We only had one mare bred for 2006, and too was our only Tango baby.

I thought because Kandi made it past the 300 day mark, it would be ok. She started to bag up two months ago. I was wrong.

She was only bred on two dates, no other possibilities. She was at day 308. Baby was way, way underdeveloped.

I appreciate all who have inquired about Kandi the past few months and offered their help. She is doing pretty good considering.

Just wanted to update. Thanks

I'm sorry for you...

I can feel totally what you're feeling... We had 3 mares pregnant (due april and may), vet checked and made an ultrasound twice (at 1 month and 3 months). I had doubts recently about two of them. Last thursday we had our vet out to do another ultrasound to be sure... Only one mare showed a bouncing foal, one nothing and the other is very very unsure (her poop was in the way) but is starting to bag (to fat or PG remains the question)...

: I'm not sure...did your mare abort or was she not pregnant after all?

I'm so sorry, know how disappointing it is to lose one, let alone the only one due.

Oh gee, I'm so sorry! I was hoping with the medications you put her on that it would slow her progress and she would carry to term. Disappointing all the way around.

I am SO sorry Carolyn!

I hope that your girl is doing okay, and know that our thoughts are with you both.

So very sorry Carolyn... how disapointing for you. Something must have gone wrong a while ago for her to bag up and still have an under-developed baby.

Oh No Carolyn. I am so sorry. You spent so much time, worry and money to make sure this went well. You really did everything you could. I just am very sorry that you won't have a foal to play with.

I'm so sorry for your loss. That's so hard when you think you've "made it" and then doesn't. Keep your chin up and try again for next year! Mini's are a hard business but when they come out right it's soooooo worth it!

Oh, I am so sorry, it is very hard, I know. <<hugs>>

Oh Carolyn, i'm so sorry....only one baby and the poor little one didn't make it...any idea why??

**hugs** so sorry for you, remember there's many more years to come!

Aww, that is so not what I wanted to hear. I wanted to hear about the wonderful foal you'd have after all that hard work, and I am truly sorry it didn't turn out that way.

You did all that you could, and I think you have to know it was out of your hands. I also know nothing I say is going to make you feel better about it. I hope your girl recuperates just fine.
