Does anyone know if they accept late entries, I didn't realize they were due this weekend... If not I will be going to N bar H too...

Hey HorseGal5 and anyone else who missed the deadline:

If you can get your entries in to the show manager (info below) today, we will waive the late fee of $10 per horse!!!!!!! In a show of good faith, we will ask that you consider making a small donation to the rescue efforts of Chances Mini Horse Rescue and the Northeast Miniature Horse Club the day of the show. We will have a donation box at the show.

We realize that some exhibitors may have missed the deadline, since it fell on the weekend, so we're giving you a little extra time to ge those entries in. We hate to discourage people from attending!! So fax those entries today to Debbie Jock at (203) 266-7445 (her email address if you have questions is [email protected]).

The entry form and class list is available on the club's website at http://northeastminis.org/calendar.htm

****Also, we will have the services of a wonderful professional photographer at the show!!! He will be taking candids in the ring and will have a backdrop for "posed" photos. Even better, he will be making a donation to the rescue funds for every order he receives!!!

I hope everyone will come out for this great show!!! We promise you'll have a fun time!

Does anyone know if the facility received any damage from the recent storms in New England? It seems to be in a heavily hit area. I hope the place is OK! I hear the weather might even be WARM by next week.

In addition to 2 horses, I will be bringing photos of some of the rescued minis and their new foals to display at the show!!! There was another filly born last week to one of these rescue mares (Lucy). You can see her picture now on another thread on this forum. She is a cutie, and a pinto, for those of us that love pintos.

I will be coming over I'm hoping to watch and to see Peppy...I have one of his offspring. Can't wait to see Bonnie either, it's been a long time.

I have been informed that the showgrounds is in great shape and has not sustained any damage -- it's High and Dry and the expression goes!

One of the really nice features of this facility is that we will have our choice to show in either the big indoor arena or in one of the really nice outdoor rings. So if the weather's sunny and nice, we have the option to soak up the sun!

I heard that we have been receiving a LOT of entries! Liberty has 15 horses! That might be a record for the New England area (outside of the regional show). The Open and Amateur divisions are filling up AND I happily report that our Mentored Beginner Halter Classes have 4 or more entries -- even in the performance and youth divisions!

The long-range weather report is GOOD!!! Warm and sunny.

And yes, NFC Peppys Playmate, who some oldtimers may remember from back when Pete Aldrich used to show him, will be at the show competing in the Open division. (he's at the ripe old age of 15? 16?). Peppy is one of the more well-known rescue horses.

I know I saw Peppy at Cindy's when I picked up Copper but it will be great to see him showing again.

I have one of his daughters in my herd that I bought from Pete.

Ok, I admit I am a newbie, so please humor me. If there are 15 horses in the Liberty Class, how many of them will get AMHA points under each judge?

With 15 in the class, points will be earned thru' 5th place:

1st - 5

2nd - 4

3rd - 3

4th - 2

5th -1

And don't forget - we have Lee Crutchfield judging!!

OK, newbie - I checked the official AMHA Rule Book which said that the 1st 5 places qualify for points. Can you imagine 15 horses in Liberty!

I just added 2 to Liberty yesterday. Does that make 17 :aktion033:

YES! I hope people drink plenty of soda so we can use their cans for Liberty! Sue, how about your CD player for Liberty? :aktion033:

Just got the word that we're preparing to feed an army --

coffee and donuts for breakfast,

A full BBQ lunch, cake and beverages for lunch

A HUGE thank you to all those who have volunteered to bring food and supplies. This is a great club that fosters teamwork and comradery. It's greatly appreciated!!!
