A couple days ago me and my dad were on our way uptown, dad was driving since its only uptown. Well we got about half way down the road and dads nose started bleeding. We turned around, and he said he was feeling light headed a bit to, and went home. It's been happening off and on with him about the past 2 or 3 days.

At first i thought it had something to do with his heart condition, i dought it does but that just scares me. We came home and mom said it was 'something something' and plugged in the humidifyer and that thing has been on high since, so we are now about 1% humidy away from the house turning into an ocean.

Last night, my noise started to!. It wasnt as bad as dad's is when he gets his. I then got a second one this morning on my way to school. Dads thinking about making a doctors apointment sometime next week, but he doesnt really want to unless it gets worse.

Mom's the only one who hasnt gotten one yet.

Any idea's what it is? We're stumped.

I'm not a doctor but could it be just dry air? My nose used to bleed BAD ALL OF THE TIME when I was a kid growing up in Phoenix. I still remember the first one because I was so scared I was going to bleed to death. Now my nose just gets really dry inside and might bleed a bit if the humidity stays low. Winters are just as bad for this as summers are in some parts of the country. Otherwise I'll bet there could be a medical issue that should be discussed with your doctor and if I were you I'd put in a call just in case...

Stop handgliding in the dead of winter. :new_shocked:

Ok it's probably just the dry cold air or could be due to medication you may be taking. If it keeps up, call the doc and get it checked out.

I know your dad has a heart condition, in which case he may be taking blood thinners? If so, call the doctor just to make sure that it is the air, but usually happens with dry not super moistened air which I think is what you were saying is in your house, and not his meds.

ps, asprin is a blood thinner too.
