everyone does this ! Mc Cain supporters do it too, and it happens with every city council election. Sorry but ..get over it . I am so tired of the finger pointing -name calling, from both sides.

I didn't see it as finger pointing or name calling at all. Just a sign that was blunt and to the point; not to mention good for a chuckle if you have a sense of humor.

I'm sorry that's how you feel but I didn't point any finger

(CNN) -- A Warren Township, Ohio, man faces charges of felonious assault after authorities say he fired his rifle at two teens who were attempting to deface his McCain presidential campaign yard sign.

Police say the man's sign is the only McCain sign on a street full of Obama signs.

Kenneth Rowles, 50, pleaded not guilty to the charge Monday, according to CNN affiliate WBNS.

Bail was set at $10,000.

Rowles told police he was sitting on his porch Saturday when a tan SUV pulled up and a black youth jumped out and ran toward his house, screaming, "This is for Obama."

He said another male was hanging out of the passenger window screaming the same thing.

Rowles said he went inside, got his rifle and fired three shots to scare the youths away, according to a Warren Township police report.

He told officers he believes that the men "were the same two that have been destroying his McCain sign."

Just hours before the shooting, Rowles called police and said that a car had stopped in front of his house and that a black male "ran up and said something about Obama," according to the report, and "damaged his sign again."

One of the youths, 17-year-old Kyree Flowers, was shot in the arm, according to a police report. He and the second youth, Patrick Wise Jr., 16, told police they were in the car attempting to leave when Rowles fired at them.

"Kyree stated that he witnessed the homeowner trying to shoot Patrick but he was having trouble chambering a round," the police report said.

The teens admitted that they had defaced the McCain sign several times, Warren Township police Lt. Don Bishop told CNN.

Rowles' is the only McCain sign on a street full of Obama signs, he said.

Bishop said the teenagers probably will not be charged -- and are unlikely to damage campaign signs again, as the incident scared them.

Warren Township is in Trumbull County not far from Cleveland, Ohio

At the risk of being called a "fear-monger" again I can't help but believe that with those kinds of things going on just because of signs in people's yards that it will be worse before it's over. Fire away.....it sure won't be the first time.

I had my sign stolen once and run over another...that's ok, I've got plenty!

Stupid teenagers.

Anyone being that rude and aggressive deserved to get shot!

Do they think Obama would approve of them doing that? No more than McCain or any other decent human being would, I hope.

That sign is a riot and I'd think so if it was about a defaced Obama sign too.

Good post, Jill!

Very creative sign!

Maybe the idea could be given to the persons Obama sign that was pulled out of the ground and run over on my Mom's road. Signs were also vandalized in the town my husband works in. People were pulling up signs for both candidates. One woman finally put her sign between her two front doors. Scares me though that people would still be bold enough to do more damage to get to her signs.

I think it stinks that any one would do this to either candidate. I will never understand.

No Obama sign? One woman spraypainted her lawn

AUSTIN (KXAN) -

After the Barack Obama sign was stolen from her front yard, Shannon Bennett painted a more permanent one with 12 cans of spray-paint and her front lawn as the canvas. "I just wanted to be able to say who I support, without being censored, which is how I felt when my sign was taken," said Bennett. She painted a large, red, white, and blue symbol in the front yard, using her old Obama sign as an inspiration.

"The signs cost money and it's coming into my front yard and taking away my freedom of expression," said Bennett. She said she has not received any complaints from neighbors and the makeshift sign has been in the yard for a week. In an election year, sometimes driveways and sidewalks become battle lines, but not in Bennett's Northwest Austin neighborhood.

"I looked out and I was surprised to see it one morning," said neighbor Elaine Goessling. "And I am a Republican, but I was really impressed with how pretty is it."

Bennett said the Obama signs have been stolen from the yards of her neighbors, as well. "They might think it's extreme, but I think it's extreme to come into my yard and take something that belongs to me, so I wanted to express myself."

haha -- that cracked me up

There was a report this morning of another resident who was tired of having his signs stolen. He put an electric pet fence charger on it (with a caution sign) and set up a video camera. A kid went for the sign and got shocked. Dad came over. The police came and suggested that although it wasn't illegal that it might cause more problems than it was worth, charger was disconnected, sign was stolen within hours.
