I hear the Lua-ow Ladies wear grass roots skirts...
...and they dance the native beat of

O-bam, O-bama-bama
Nice to know you at least feel some empathy for this grandmother, the woman who basically raised this man for a considerable part of his life.

HUH?

I'm sorry if you misunderstood my intentions (although I think that my support of Obama has been made pretty clear by now).

I come from a family (a very, VERY close family) with a collective sense of humor that has proven most important at times of grief and need.

When I was being wheeled from the ER to Intensive Care, moments away from a coma from ketoacidosis, I still gave my aunt the "Rose Festival Princess" wave (elbow, elbow...wrist, wrist)...a longtime joke between us.

I was in no way being disrespectful toward a wonderful woman who has raised an amazing grandson.

If grandmother is ill - I wish her well............. Why did Michelle not go with her husband?

Could be that Obama went to fetch his real birth certificate?

Could be because of the lawsuit that Pa democrat Philip Berg filed to require Obama to provide proof of his birth certificate to prove his citizenship?

http://wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=78671

Pa democrat Philip Berg filed lawsuit for Obama to provide proof of citizenship.

Now Berg cites Rule 36 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, which states that unless the accused party provides written answer or objection to charges within 30 days, the accused legally admits the matter.

Since Obama has only filed motions to dismiss and has not actually answered the charges in the lawsuit, Berg claims, according to Rule 36, Obama has legally admitted he is not a natural-born citizen.

In a statement released today, Berg argues that he filed Requests for Admissions on Sept. 15, meaning Obama had until Oct. 15 to answer or face the consequences of Rule 36.

Thursday, 23 October 2008 14:29 administrator Plaintiff Phil J. Berg filed two motions today seeking an expedited resolution in Berg v. Obama. (PDF's of the motions are attached below.)

This motion argues that the facts have been established that Barack Obama is not constitutionally qualified to be elected or serve as President of the United States, and that the Court should issue a summary judgment as follows:

True or false - only time will tell

I thought, months ago, Obama did a classy thing by saying that family was off-limits when people began poking into Palin's family. He's never criticized her family or their decisions and he has encouraged his supporters to do the same.
I think it would be nice to extend the same courtesy to Obama. I can guarantee that none of us here have ever had to run for President and deal with an ailing family member at the same time.
I couldn't agree more!! I, too, thought it was a classy thing for ANY politician to say!

Cathy H - we have been all over this before in a couple of other threads - and I am not sure it is necessary to keep repeating the same things over and over.

But I guess we can do a brief synopsis....

That was a real certification of birth. Many states send out such copies - and not the original long form. If he gets the long form when he is there (not sure that you need to apply in person) - at least all this nonsense will be laid to rest. Maybe that is what Bassett was hinting at.

Not that it matters - I am sure it would just be declared fake by some expert or another...

Philip Berg is a fameho - who is always looking for the spotlight and his next 15 minutes... he has filed suits against Bush and the current administration to make them tell us "the truth" about 9/11 being an inside job. Because it was all a giant conspiracy, you see. He has a website devoted to that conspiracy.

He has filed and refiled and refiled. Anything to keep his name in the news.

His claims are false - and have been proven to be so by assorted sources.

And if his claims were true - then the McCain campaign would have used that info long ago. Or else McCain's campaign people and McCain himself are complete and utter morons - and that is obviously not the case.

And that is the Reader's Digest condensed version of that tale. Again.

Cathy, knock it off. Seriously. You are free to post as many threads as you want about Obama's birth certificate, his dubious connections, whatever other practically baseless smears you care to make against a good man.

This thread IS NOT THE PLACE FOR IT.

If my beloved Grandma was so ill, I would be by her side immediately, no holds barred. Why is Obama still NOT by her side? Isn't even going until this afternoon. Poor Granny. 2-3 days is a LONG time to someone who is gravely ill. Oh I forgot there are MORE important things in life to some people than family.
Bonnie, how sad that you feel this way - guess I never realized you were such a negative, uncaring person - "maybe" you need to walk a mile in Obama's shoes before you judge him.
