Ah Marty look at all of the bugs they eat.......... They are more afraid of you so I don't think you have to worry about them getting in your pocket...... Try spraying a bug spray or something to see if that keeps them out - ( pinesol mixed with water - this is suppose to keep flies away also).......... I have accidently stepped on a few going to the barn - they hopped right under my shoe as it was coming down........ Reminds me when our first grandson was about two. We found all of these itty bitty baby toads all over. I picked one up & put it in his hand. He clamped his hand tight so it would not get away & squashed the poor little thing -oops!

Awww Marty.

I wish I were closer, I would be more than happy to come over and get them out for you. That and I would also help you empty out the tack room if it ever came to that.

Good luck on the frogs! :bgrin

 We had an infestation of frogs and toads about a week ago during a rain storm; talk about mating frenzy! There were smushed frogs all over the road. I got my partner to get out and get a frog and he found a frog and a toad. He had this way of making toads speak by holding them a certain way. They do this little chirp...very cute. Here is a toad "talking":

We've had a heavy frog/toad year(I don't know the difference) this year. I like them myself. We have so many bugs, especially earwigs, and the frogs eat them. I lift up the lid to the hot tub and there are a dozen little frogs under there........but there used to be hundreds of earwigs. I'll take the frogs thank you!! :bgrin

Oh Marty

You are too funny. I don't like them either, but they eat bugs, so we let them be.

Hey on a funny note.. My dad was telling what happen at his job the other day. I will

always check the toilet before sitting down now.. a guy at his job set down on the

toilet and felt something funny under him. So he jumps up and looks and their is a

bat, a big black bat just in the water. He jump and screamed. Thank goodness it did

not bite him on the behind. I don't know what they did about it. I did not know we had

them in our area.

Well, I had to go and start a "pro-frogs" thread for the frog lovers out there! Cute pix I took this morning!

I also wanted to say I agree they are probably toads. I think toads are kind of cute, Marty. Especially the baby ones. I have picked up enough toads to know that the first thing they do when you pick them up is they pee in your hand. Just thought Marty would want to know this

When I was a teenager, there was for several years during the warm months a BIG toad that would sit on our front porch. He had a white stripe down his back. At that house, some of the cement on the sidewalk was cracked and we joked that he had cracked the sidewalk under his weight. My mom wouldn't want to come out at night without someone checking "is he out there?". We called him "Resident Toad".

Oh my gosh!!! I'm sorry, I'm not laughing AT you, I'm just laughing...

We have tons of frogs and toads here (though numbers are down this year from our deep freeze last winter I think). They are worshipped because they eat bugs. I love them. I have little toad houses all over my flower beds. Last summer I had 6 'regulars' that lived on the front porch (5 little frogs and a toad). I named them (yes, I could tell them apart) and a couple would let me catch bugs and feed them. Einstein was my favorite; he was so smart that he'd hang out under the porch light and wait for the bugs to come to him.

I'm sure you could talk someone into relocating them for you. Although if they like your tack room, they may be eating something in there that you would like even less. Soon it will be cooling off and they'll be burrowing down for winter and you won't see them anymore (until next summer). :bgrin
