One and only mare in foal

Woo hoo. Just got the news today that my mare is for sure in foal. They "saw" the foal and the heartbeat. She's 233 days so crossing fingers and toes that everything goes just right. It's my first and since I gelded the stallion will be my only foal. I'm over the moon!

Want to guess what color we'll get out of this cross? Mare is 34" pinto bay with roaning on her back. Sire is 32" silver/black dapple pinto that has thrown 2 foals with appaloosa traits.

We only got into minis about 8 yrs ago. My mare is 7 this year and she was not liking my stallion's advances. I had to use hobbles to breed her the only time we did. She did not want him near her again so I gave up. We're getting up in years so I was giving up on having a foal.

A foal with our farm name was sort of like on my "bucket list".

Congratulations, you are headed down the homestretch now. Not much to do but sit and feel the baby kicking at mealtimes and talk sweet nothings to it. My first foal knew it's name and knew my voice before it was even born. My first was a silver bay with lacing, so I'll vote for a silver bay pintaloosa for you. and say it will be colored up with all the white of the mom and the silver dapple of the dad!! HOW GORGEOUS WOULD THAT BE! Both are gorgeous horses by the way. LOVE your stallion!! CONGRATS on the baby!! YAY for you! We're waiting .....
