My daughter & I are so excited! We are going to go to the AMHA World Show to watch and my daughter is going to compete in the Youth Calcutta thanks to Sheri Lykken making the arrangements. We fly in on Wednesday night and will site see Forth Worth a little on Thursday and then head over to the show to officially meet Sheri and meet the mini Gracie will be showing. Gracie is 10 and this will be a mother-daughter trip that will be so special.

Thank you to the lil' horses for finding a common thread for my daughter and I to connect even deeper!

I was wondering how long it would be before someone started a thread about worlds . . . Like you, I am very excited. I'm in school as I write this and as I count down the days until my flight(8) the clock seems to move slower and slower. Watching nationals hasn't helped, just makes me more anxious. I'm flying in next Thursday night and staying until the Sunday after the show. Last year I missed the last few days so I am really happy to be able to stay for the duration this year. I'm competing in 3 ammy halter classes and I have a 2 yr old colt who will be showing in open.

Your daughter is going to have an awesome time, and so will you!

We're excited too! I'm leaving a week from today and still so much to do! Heading out to the barn now to clip one more horse (just trying to get the winter hair off these guys to make their show clip so much easier!)

Still have shopping to do before leaving

and my vet is coming tomorrow for paperwork. So much to do, so little time!

I wanted to add we're in the Richardson Bass Bldg. Look for the Redrock stalls together with the Reflections stalls. We'd love to meet you if we haven't and love to visit with our old friends.

Wow, what a reminder. We're not leaving until the 28th but time has sure crept up on me. I better quit wasting weekends and get busy packing and clipping.

We're in the Burnett Bldg. Stop by and say howdy.

WAHOO!!! I get to go to Worlds for the first time this year

I'll be hanging out with Gallery Training Center...I will miss the first part...but will fly in very late on the 29th, and then will be there through the end of the show.

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the Bottom Line sale? Will there be a list of horses available or do you just have to wait and see once you get there?

Hope I can meet at least some of you!

Tracy

Also one week for us. We leave in the afternoon though, since we have to drive through Atlanta, so much easier in the middle of the night. We are staying for the duration and will be stalled with RHA Training. I will also be working for Star Lake Tack on the youth days, so come visit me then too. Can't wait. We are bringing three horses with us.

Appy will probably be there before I am - I'm flying into Texas on Saturday (26th) and staying the duration of the show. Apps will be showing Country Pleasure Driving - Ammy and Open... Can't wait, yes, nerves too!

It is so hard to believe that its almost time for the Worlds!!! We will be there on Tuesday(leaving this Sunday and making the trek from Massachusetts) and bringing 8 horses with us. I am really looking forward to showing. Getting all my odds and ends together now, and just wish it was show time already!

Please stop by our stalls in the Moncreif building(we are Sawmill River Farm) and introduce yourself. Would love to meet you all!!!

Hope that everyone has a safe trip out there!!!

I got the stalls I asked for too!! We will be near the sale horses in the Burnett Building. Show starts for me on Monday.

Just so much to do, lots of things to pack, horses to bath and clip, sold horses to get cleaned up, Farrier still has to come out 2 more times.........UGH.....................I will never have enought time...............

But I can't wait!!!

We leave a week from Friday. As always, we aren't where we wanted. We are in cattle barn 3, while a huge farm who had a higher draw number than us will be in the burnette building I'll bet.

Money talks, little people walk.

I am very excited too. I will have 2 yearlings showing. One with Redrock and one with Reflections.

I am also getting very nervous. I am driving from PA to Tx and thought I had someone riding along, that fell through. And now I am committed to driving..........ALONE with a trailer! I am still looking for someone to go along, even got on my knees yesterday and begged a friend, but 2 wks is a long time to ask someone to be away.

I will leave Next week, sometime, not sure when. If I can tag on to a "convoy" headed to Tx I will leave when I can hook up with them.

Any volunteers???

I can't wait to get there and wish I could do one of those "beam me up Scotty" things.

Once there, I am NOT gonna want to drive back alone.

Maybe I will just find someone to take me in down there and stay for a while :O)

I am flying out on the 28th for my first World Show. I am meeting up with my friends Tami (Triple K) and Cyndi (Misty Moon). It's been a year since we've all been together so I am looking forward to spending time with them and also meeting people that I know through email and Lil Beginnings.

I want to borrow Matt's clock! The hands on mine are spinning faster and faster and I'm getting farther and farther behind!

We leave next Wednesday morning early and don't return till the 4th.

You'll find us stalled accross from Becky in the Richardson-Bass building. Stop in and say hi!

Everyone have a safe trip and we'll see you there!

Charlotte

Maybe I will see you around the building, I am clipping for some friends who are staying in that building, I believe stalls 780-783 . . .

I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will have my stallion there and also my mare. Here is a pic of my mare, Riverdances Wind in the Willow, at Centrals:

I am thinking I will just wear a sign around my neck that say "Hi, I'm a newbie to mini's". That way you will all recognize me

I was out tonight teaching my daughter showmanship. Since she is in the calcutta deal, she has a few events to learn fast. Its so funny, we have had miniature horses now for just under a month and we jumped in head first. It does help to have 35 years of big horse ownership though. My daughter is learning the difference between riding big horses & handling minis. Prior to the minis she had more experience on top of a horse than on the ground. This has been so good for her. She works her boys daily for 20 minutes each. She cleans their stalls twice a day. She puts splint boots & bell boots (OMG, they are so cute) and neck sweats on her boys. I love it.

Sandy, I get the biggest kick out of watching the youth show so I'll be in the stands at least part of the time (when not clipping & bathing) and hopefully see your daughter.

This sounds like a wondrful experience for you and Gracie. Have fun!

Charlott

p.s. Oh my Sandy, I love the pictures and story of your family (2 & 4 legged) on your website. That picture on your home page....awesome! I bet you and Gracie are headed for the same success with your 'short horses'!

Julie, we are leaving Central Ohio on the evening of the 25th and driving straight through.

If you want to convoy you are welcome, but be warned, we only stop for gas and get food at that stop, then on again. Judy is the main driver, and a bit heavy on the gas. I am a more obedient driver so it does slow a bit when I drive.

We will be getting there Thursday and staying the full time. One of our Thursday Kids will be showing in the youth 7 & under classes and is very excited.
