We had a menninite do this for us.

He put on a dash board, new swivel tree, vinyl basket, and a new plush velvet seat.

I think he did a wonderful job, just wanted to share.

Wow that is pretty neat do you mind me asking was it expensive for him to convert it?

That sounds MUCH better than buying a $2000 cart...

Was that $600 including the cart?

I would love to have a dash like that...does he make them to sell separately?

I know Mary will respond as well, but I am pretty sure they had one of the "bare bones" easy entry carts, mostly metal, which they had used mostly for cart training.

The mennonite refurbished that cart with the new upholstered seat, closed in the basket, new dashboard etc. to make it look much like the jerald show cart, for under 600.00.

Really an excellent re model

wow that is pretty neat wish we had someone around here that could do that

Do the sides of the basket open so you can get in without stepping over? That would be the "icing on the cake" for me.

I never thought of having the side open.

That would be super for me as well. The jerald cart doesn't, does it? I have an old jerald purchased a year ago and never thought to see if it does, but I think not.

It's stored now, so I can't check

that is awesome, what a great idea! I'm going to show these pics to my hubby tonight! ;)

A basic easy entry around here is $600(Cdn), which would make this cart cost a total of $1233. Still cheaper than a Jerald, but really no cheaper than a lot of other carts. (I have bought several nice carts from Boinky here on LB, that convert to roadster, and are light as a feather.)

The real bonus is that it can be converted back and forth, so it doubles as a show cart, and training cart.

I DO love that dash!!

I think that is a brilliant job, I have the "bare bones" cart so I am going to go ahead and try this now, I have seen how good it can look so I'll give it a go.

Not so sure about the seat, though, I would not want to be on that when it was raining!!!

Looks really good though and I love the dash!

Hi all,

Yes the domes open up for the sides, and I bought the cart at an auction here for only $175.00.

So was all a very good price for us....now if you did not need a new swivel tree or have the plush velvet would have been even cheaper...

You could probably have it done that way and just have the patent dome on and off. Have it off to get and and then dome it closed. Maybe this isn't the best suggestion but for that matter what about a heavy duty velcro closure?

Nice cart Mary. Great idea!
