Well, we found out that our new filly that was born yesterday is a fainter!
: If you restrain her in anyway she rolls her eyes so you see the whites and faints dead away!
: We did her IGg check this morning ( it was great) and she fainted when I held her for the vet! We noticed just after she was born that when you touched her she would lay her ears back and show the whites of her eyes! Wanalynn said, "She a fisty little thing, look at her showing her eyes and laying her ears back" Then she held her to spray her navel stump and she fell limp! We knew right then she was a fainter! She'll probably grow out of it in a few days, so we will try not to restrain or stress her until she does! Just thought I would post this in case any of you have a foal that shows the whites of their eyes as soon as their born, it could be the first sign of a fainting foal!
