Paying bills on line?

I have been doing this for so long that the bank has changed names a few times and when I started they gave you a floppy diskette with the software!! They said they would fix any errors and when we had a late mortgage payment back at the beginning due to a glitch on their part, they took care of everything to get it fixed. The bank is now Bank of America (was CBT when I started and now CBT is a whole other bank!). I can't imagine paying bills any other way. Yes, bill paying went from a chore to almost fun. I even pay for horses that way - so the seller gets a check from the BANK, not from me, and the bank pays the postage. Of course most payments are done electronically but if the payee isn't set up to receive payments that way, the bank just mails a check. I pay no fees for this service. It is also great for tracking payments and doing automatic payments like the mortgage. I never know how much the mortgage payment is or when it is due - just have to remember to stop the auto payment when we re-finance!

I pay all of my bills online. Hardly ever buy stamps anymore! I go to the website of each business I want to pay. Gas, electric, phone, cell phone, insurance, trash service and others. All online.

I do still have most of my bills coming in the mail. It does help to remind me of them being due. Although, most send email reminders.

I love the fact that I can pay a bill anytime of night or day 365 days a year!

I've been paying bills online for about 4 years, never one problem. I go through my bank (which is a credit union), there are no fees what-so-ever...I can even send money to an individual person, they just issue the check and mail it like I would, but they pay for the stamp (gotta love that). I too like getting a statement every month for my bills so I do not sign up for paperless.

I have been paying most of our bills online now for the past few years. I absolutely LOVE it! It's fast, and easy, and I have never had any kind of a problem whatsoever.

I sometimes felt guilty for single handedly causing the postal service to go into financial ruin. Now I can see it isn't just me.

(Not counting Christmas cards) I decided to spring for the "forever stamps" at Costco as I could never use them fast enough not to have to add a bunch of penny stamps whenever I did mail something. I even pay the few extra dollars to do my dog show entires online. It is so much easier to track.

Oh gosh Miniv, I have paid bills online for YEARS with no problem!! (And I work in credit card fraud so am well aware of this issue) They are usually very secure sights and just make sure if you ever get bogus emails asking for you to resend your info and all that crap because your acct has been 'locked' or whatever.... just delete them- they are phishing for your info and not really from any companies you really use.

It's quicker and easier than writing checks every month and I dont know of anyone who has had trouble doing this! Go for it, LOL
