I know this has probably been talked about before but i'd like to know what everybody prefers for a good photo program. I'm not sure who it is on here that does it but I want to be able to get a pic to black and white but leave certain things a color, and do a bunch of other things too.

I use Adobe, PSP, and Dell Image Studio. All of these are quite simple to remove the color and/or tint hte resulting image.

Just depends on how simple or intricate you want to get.

Browse around online and look at the different samples.

I use Roxio Photosuite 7.0 and I love it!!! However, I just now see that there's an 8.0 version of it so I'm going to upgrade. It's easy to use and can do so many things, yet is inexpensive. I've used versions of it for years.

I use Adobe Photo elements. I also have Picture Perfect which came with my camera but prefer the Adobe.

I use several of the ones mentioned above too, none of which do the black and white with an object still color except Picasa. It is free and easy to do that particular task that you're looking to do! Good luck!

Thanks everybody for the help, I ended up getting the Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0. I've spent some time today playing around with it and like it so far but i'm also planning on checking out the Picasa site.

Thanks again
